“Comfortable rustic farmhouse experience”
Felt privileged for just the 2 of us to stay in a large farmhouse. All ground floor. Lovely welcome from Madame who was very patient as we tried to find the French words and she did understand a little English. She was so helpful in suggesting places to visit including local wine tours and genuinely wanted us to have a good time. Farm eggs were kindly provided. Lovely comfortable bed and good shower. Helpful to have washing machine and airer. Beautiful views from the patio at the back over fields of cattle. Excellent meal at Le Grill du Castel at Chateauneuf..such a quaint village just 15 minutes away. Also close enough to Beaune and Autun both worth visiting for their architecture and restaurants. Just a 2 night stopover for us from the A6 but a longer stay of say 4 nights would have been good.
