Stunning location, beautiful setting on the water, amazing sunsets. Easy to get to and there are some beautiful places within easy reach. Very comfortable rooms, chilled atmosphere. Stathis and his family and staff are the most welcoming hosts you could imagine. Can’t wait to go back.

“A true gem on Pelion”

Melies is absolutely the best place to stay on Pelion. This was our third trip to Chorto, but our first time at Melies, and it exceeded all expectations. The owner, Stathis, and his family and staff are amazing, and the apartments are beautiful. The beach and food are outstanding, and Stathis himself is not only warm and welcoming but also a talented chef. The interior of the rooms and the beach spot with chairs and tables are stunning. We will definitely return!

Location was dreamy, right on the water! Room really comfortable, with all necessary amenities. Host was exceptional, kind and attentive to our needs. The food and drinks on offer also very high quality.

Beautiful views of the sea from our room, can walk in directly to sea to swim, onsite cafe for variety of cocktails (some were Stathis’ own recipe), beers, wine and drinks, excellent sandwiches, omelettes and pasta of the day, sun loungers and different seating areas, good music that’s not played too loud, Nikos the server very polite and friendly, warm and helpful owners Stathis and his dad Niko and mom Eleni and giant mountain dog Thor, availability of parking, balcony and small side patio from our room on ground floor with sea view, great sunsets, 5-7 minute walk on the main road to Chorto with 2 restaurants and a cafe, 3-minute walk to Leda bar, restaurant and Casablanca Cafe. Bathroom had good storage and shower had very good pressure. We didn’t cook so cannot comment on the facilities but there is stove and full sized fridge. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay for a week.

“Fabulous”

Amazing place! Statis' hotel is a family-type establishment, small, cozy, and very well-furnished. The room where we stayed was spacious with incredible views of the sea and the nearby hills. The interior is pleasant, featuring pastel tones and all the necessary amenities. There's a well-equipped kitchenette, a large double bed with a comfortable mattress, air conditioning, and two terraces—one with a coffee table and chairs. Statis and his family are wonderful hosts, warm-hearted and always available to answer any questions about local restaurants, attractions, and anything else you might need. The food personally prepared by Statis is remarkable—limited in variety but made with fresh ingredients from local producers, complemented by a carefully selected range of Greek wines and coffee that you'll remember for a long time. During the day, the sun loungers on the verandas under orange and lemon trees are a great choice for sunbathing, and the crystal-clear sea is just a few steps away. I highly recommend it, and we'll definitely be back. If you have mobility issues, please be aware of the stairs.

“Great, beautiful and quite place, with the greatest host!”

Statis was the best host anyone can imagine! We were stuck in Chorto during the 'Daniel' storm in Pelion, without the ability to travel, no electricity, and floods all over. Statis went out of his way to make us comfortable and safe. With no restaurants or food stores open, he cooked for us, and kept us up-to-date with developments and road conditions. When weather finally permitted, he drove with his car in a convoy with all other guests, guiding us through the mountains all the way to a safe place, where we could continue on our own to Thessaloniki. Other then being a wonderful host, Statis is simply and exceptional person - the greatest host you'd ever want!!

“Traditional feeling with modern luxury”

Excellent! The place combines traditional architecture with a feeling of modern luxury. The deluxe apartment felt brand new, super clean with a fully functioning kitchen and great views over the sea. The highlight though was the wooden decks with sunbeds where one can chill with a cocktail or just dive right into the sea. The bar offers drinks, cocktails, a nice collection of wine and food in very decent prices. It's very tempting to spend the whole day there and just relax (which is what we did anyway!). All in all, great hospitality by a family run business! I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The conditions are important and they are good, pleasant and clean. But even more important are the hosts. The hosts are special, interesting people, and even though we were on holidays, they helped with everything above and beyond. Our trip was much better because of them. In short, highly recommended.

“Beautiful location”

Small but lovely apartments in a beautiful location. you can walk to several different cafes, 2 mini markets and some great restaurants and a lovely beach - the views are stunning. The apartments are newly renovated. We initially booked an apartment for a group of adults - when we arrived we realised the apartment didn’t have 2 bedrooms, but twin beds in the living room which joined onto the kitchen area - this was too cramped for our group (maybe it would work for a family but for us didn’t seem fair to the people sleeping in the main room instead of the lovely bedroom, and they would have to have people walking through to go to the bathroom) - we spoke to the owners who were very helpful and we agreed that we would rent another studio apartment to have more space. The place was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay but we would advise to make sure you will be comfortable with the sleeping arrangements if booking for a group.
