“Outstanding service, beautiful place”

After comparing many hotels, you’ll realise the service in this place is outstanding & cant be taken for granted. Despite arriving at 2:30 am, reception was available & hotel did not ask for deposit in advance for 1st night. With Didi, location should not be an issue but if you would like public transport, this place may be out of the way.

First the friendliness and helpfullness of the staff. I had a medical problem and needed to see a doctor. Rebecca, the hotel service manager,  took all the effort to help me: printing out information in chinese for the hospital & doctor, getting an AI diagnosis, calling and  arranging the transport to the hospital (Chongqing University public hospital -excellent and rapid service).The hotel is located in a beautiful quite and treelined street, but everything is accessible as taxis are easy to call. Breakfast is outstanding with Chongqing noodles, steamed tubers, fruit and  vegetables, porridge and so much more. The hotel has beautiful wooden furniture and wooden floors. The terras is very green and quiet.Very much appreciated were the detailed guidelines (english) (via wechat) about what to visit and how to get there with metro. The room is very clean and with beautiful furniture and a private patio. The desk in the room has a very comfortable chair (as in the lobby / breakfast area). Very comfortable bathroom also. Free laundry under 5 pieces - much appreciated. The hotel has no restaurant but there is a good restaurant only 30 metres from the hotel. Thank you Rebecca and team for your help. I will stay again at Weyu next time in Chongqing.

Service, the room, the area, everything. The staff is well-trained and very kind, polite and warm. I would love to stay there again.

“Highly recommended!”

Everything; hotel is clean, practical and pretty; there is a small garden to enjoy your food or tea. Location is very near Ciquikou Ancient City, short drive; in these big cities Didi is a must. Staff is very polite and friendly yet professional. Leaf and Rebecca were so helpful, particularly Rebecca as she speaks English. She made us so practical itinerary that we managed to see main attractions in only 1.5 day. And she did it all on Sunday from her home. Thank you Rebecca! Laundry services are free and you can get noodles and dumplings for breakfast. What more would anyone want!

“A place worth returning to”

I ate the best noodle soup of my life here!! Everything else was great too. The hotel is very clean and lies ona calm street. Also the staff was so helpful and friendly. 🥹The manager Lucky is the warmest person you could imagine. Unfortunately we did not take any pictures of the hotel because we enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Staff are amazing, The most hospitable staff I’ve ever come to meet on my travels. They help you out with itineraries during your stay. Big shout out Lucky & Rebecca! 🙂🤙

“Best hotel I stayed”

How to finish our wonderful trip in China ? Going to sleep at Wuyu Hotel. Before our arrival, Lucky contacted us if we need something in particular. As soon we arrived, she did everything to feel us super comfortable. The room was awesome and big and super clean (probably the best room I slept in all of my trips). The kid was happy with the room an all little attentions from Lucky. The breakfast was super nice and everything was made to make the kid happy. In one word WONDERFUL!

My stay at this hotel far exceeded all my expectations. I have travelled to many countries, stayed in countless hotels, and even in people’s homes through Airbnb — but I have never experienced hospitality like this before. From the moment I booked my stay, the staff contacted me and guided me on how to get to the hotel. When I arrived, the welcome was incredibly warm. On my first day, they even drove me to where I wanted to go without charging any fee. They also helped me plan what to do in Chongqing, which made my trip so much easier and more enjoyable. This wasn’t just good hospitality — these are genuinely kind and amazing human beings. The way they treat their guests cannot be taught; it truly comes from the heart. Anyone planning to visit Chongqing should stay here just to experience this level of kindness. I will definitely come back when I return to China, because this place felt like home and the people felt like family.

“Home away from Home in Bustling Chongqing …. Wuyu I’ll be back”

My family and I love our recent stay at the Wuyu hotel. The hotel manager Lucky has been very helpful and attentive to all my requests from the time I booked and all the staff were very friendly and like a happy family working together. It has a home away from home warm feeling. Its location though not central was very peaceful and safe.

Everything, quiet, modern but with a homely feel. A very hospitable host Lucky who goes out of her way to engage with you with daily recommendations. Whilst a little further from a subway station. DiDi is so convenient and affordable and the quality of the accomodation it outweighs staying in the city. I highly recommend this property.

“Unbeatable hospitality”

Whilst in Chongqing we stayed both here and at the Raffles building. When we return to Chongqing we will be staying here, the personal attentiveness of Lucky and the team was exceptional. They took their time to make sure we were making the most of Chongqing and all of the wonderful things it had to offer, even organising a day trip for us. When we were leaving before the breakfast time on a couple of days, they made us a packed breakfast to take on the road. Little things like this make a big difference.

Wuyu hotel did not look like any of the international chain of hotels. But we still booked it. Now we are more than happy to say that wuyu hotel has been a highlight of our 10 days tour. Lucky, the manager has been such a great host. We had a drink in the open air patio and she actually brought snacks for us to enjoy our evening. She also offered to book Didi for us. It made our stay here so memorable. Thank you Lucky and your staff.

The property was clean and very comfortable. It was in an excellent location very close to Ciqikou. Lucky (our main host) was very kind and very helpful always offering us places to go and wonderful tea. The breakfast was always delicious too.
