Amazing place! Nice location, clean rooms and great terase where you have beautiful views. Lady on reception was super nice and helpful and even borrowed us a bug spray. I would rent this place again.

“Beautiful mountainside retreat away from the crowds”

The homestay was located in a very green and pretty area, right at the beginning of Taroko gorge. It's a little far to walk from the nearest town, but the hosts lent us bicycles to get around more efficiently. The hosts are also very happy to help with driving to local sights or picking up food orders. Their food recommendations were excellent. In fact, the hosts were absolutely lovely in every way - very warm, kind and accommodating. The family room was attractive and comfortable - with a large Tatami area easily big enough for 4 beds. The mountain view from the window was beautiful. The bathroom facilities were great and modern (Japanese washlet!). This place is an excellent and relaxing stay in a strikingly beautiful part of Taiwan.

“A very relaxing stay near Taroko National Park”

This was a really relaxing and comfortable stay at Li Wu Zuo Cun. The room was so spacious and comfortable, and it was very clean and had great facilities including a fridge. The guest house is surrounded by so many trees and it was so peaceful. I enjoyed sitting on the terrace and looking at the amazing view. Both Dara and May are very welcoming and so helpful. They were really kind hosts and very hospitable. They very kindly allowed me to use a bike to get around which was useful, as you need a vehicle to get to places of interest. The guest house has refillable water as well and a water dispenser for hot and cold water on the second floor. The guest house is located near the entrance of Taroko National Park, which has limited access but you can still visit the visitor centre and do the Delukan walking trail.

“Lovely accommodation with glorious views”

This was such a charming, tranquil place to stay and so close to Taroko Gorge. May and Dara are great hosts. May gave us so much useful information about where you can and can’t go in the gorge and helped us book a fabulous meal at a local indigenous restaurant where we spent a wonderful evening. We loved our room — spacious, very clean and comfortable and with a glorious view onto the mountains. We also really loved the roof terrace for hanging out in the evenings. We’re really glad we found Li Wu Zuo Cun and would return in a heartbeat!

“Very good for just transit to Hualian”

Very helpful host. We arrived in the prelude of typhoon, host started to contact and provide help information before my arrival. The facilities are also very good. Pity that I didn’t have a chance to try a lot due to the heavy rain. Good guides provided.

This was a very pretty property and the room was beautiful. It’s set at the foothills of a mountain that made the whole view pretty awesome. May (the host) was especially amazing helping us with our itinerary and plans. She goes out of her way to make the guests feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was superb too! The location is great and is just 10 minutes by drive from Taroko national park.
