“A wonderful gîte with superb hospitality”

The attention to detail in this lovely gîte was superb with fresh flowers everywhere and use of two private garden areas

It's the best place in Chinon, Cozy house facing beautiful garden. Sylvie is a wonderful hostess. She not only picked me up at the station but also got me an earlier check-in which is truly helpful for a solo traveler like me. Thank you Sylvie. It’s a fully equipped and beautiful cottage, surrounded by a glorious garden, and literally around the corner from the Chinon castle, as well as the town centre, also accessible by a nearby lift if needed. Sylvie the host is really lovely, and everything was straight forward, helpful, and clear. Highly recommend this place, and if you’re lucky you’ll make a new friend with the garden cat :) no faults at all, she even left us coffee for the morning after our arrival, and a bottle of local wine. Thank you!

“We loved everything about this property”

This is a beautiful property that combines peace and privacy with great access to the fortress and to restaurants, local wineries and shops.

The garden is sensibly divided with the owner, but she has given a generous amount to the Gite and its very private and there are 2 places outside to sit. The house is very well appointed and my wife commented that the owner has thought of everything. its a nice decent sized place to stay for a short break, and its very conveniently located for Chinon. the owner is lovely, very friendly, but is discrete so will stay out of your way unless you need her. highly recommended.

“Excellent location, extremely well presented and equipped”

The location was excellent. Close to the city and extremely close to the Château. The gìte is very well equipped inside and out. Though there is very limited parking available immediately outside the property. There is a decent car park less than a five minute walk away. Sylvie is very convivial host.

Good size room, decor very attractive. Outdoor seating very nicely done. Sylvie very friendly and helpful.

Communication was very good .Gite was very clean and had everything you need .Situated 5min walk from town .Very quiet area .Sylvie was away at time of our visit but Lawrence was very good and friendly Romy the cat was also very nice

“Wonderful”

We had a wonderful time in the "garden house" in Sylvie's Paradise. Had a walk around Chinon every evening, sometimes using the "accenseur" when we were tired. The garden house is really wonderful, everything you could need was available. We were on a wine excursion buying wine for the coming year and were able to store it in Sylvie's underground cellar. The last evening after packing all the wine in the car we were able to leave the car inside the locked courtyard door. Wonderful time, surly hope to come back next year. Thanks again Sylvie.

The gite was wonderful. Very pretty, welcoming and everything we could ask for was there. Sylvie was very accommodating and on hand when needed. Comfortable bed, exceptionally clean and very well presented.

A really beautiful gite with all facilities including a really restful patio area. Excellent wifi and parking no problem. Chinon is a fantastic little town with friendly people. Best of all was Sylvia our host who was so helpful and sorted out every little question we had.We would love to return there in the future
