The hosts Ronan & Vero are very welcoming & helpful with local knowledge, the peaceful settings allow you to relax the moment you arrive, our well equiped and comfortable room in a 15th century property just added to the very enjoyable stay, A fantastic breafast ( all the best French ingredients including some home made ) is served inside or outside, also the swimming pool and it's Surrounding gardens are perfect, after a " dip " in the pool relax on sun loungers under the Palm tree efect parasoles, The whole experience was beyond our expectations, our two nights should of been more because of this grand B/B location lends itself to being ideal to explore the area,

We stayed at Domaine Givre for just one night on our way to Bordeaux. The location is fantastic - peaceful and beautifully set just outside Chinon, with easy access to explore the Loire Valley. The accommodation is a carefully restored barn converted into stylish and modern rooms that are both tasteful and very comfortable. There was water, tea and coffee in the room and everything was spotlessly clean. The hosts were absolutely lovely - warm , welcoming and generous with their time. We had a great chat and they even showed us around the property which made the experience feel very personal and memorable. Breakfast was served outside and it was simply fantastic, fresh delicious and a beautiful way to start the day. I truly hope to return and spend more time there.

Very warm welcome and hosts have thought through every detail in the room. We had a delightful little private terrace to sit on for reading and apéro. After we had left on bikes in pouring rain they texted us that evening to check we were ok. Wished we could have stayed for more nights to enjoy the pool and peaceful garden

Domaine de Givre is a simply lovely bed and breakfast in the rolling countryside just outside of Chinon proper. The apartments are in a 4-500 year old converted gatehouse/stable and the tasteful conversion to guest accommodations provides a wonderful juxtaposition between the old and the new. Our host, Ronan, provided a quite scrumptious fresh breakfast each morning, with delicious breads, fruit, cheese, ham and even a soft boiled egg! Two wonderful cats greeted us in the gardens each day, give them a scratch for us Ronan! I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a quiet, luxury rural getaway in the Loire Valley.
