The beautifully restored 16th-century residence is set in the land of famous writer Rabelais in the heart of the medieval quarter of the old town of Chinon and in the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Natural Regional Park. “Makes for a lovely break in Chinon”
Great location. Clean and lovely hotel. Breakfast very good. Staff were friendly and very helpful in arranging a space in the garage. Definately the best hotel during our 3 week tour of France and Italy!

“Amazing and beautiful hotel”
Beautifully renovated hotel in the centre of town. Recently renovated with fabulous interiors and bedrooms. The staff were exceptional and so helpful and even upgraded us the a fabulous mini suite on the first floor overlooking the square. Breakfast was everything you would expect with a great choice of both hot and cold choices. We really couldn’t fault this amazing hotel and will certainly be returning again.

“An absolute gem in the historic center of a gorgeous medieval city, worth the detour!”
We enjoyed really stay during a family gathering in the city of Chinon, lovely hotel, very comfortable and with the authentic charm of the region. Breakfast was incredible and the managers and their team absolutely perfect!

“Beautiful hotel of character in a perfect location.”
The location couldn’t be better and full of character. The rooftop bar was a big plus as was the secure parking on site. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. ALL the staff were very helpful, pleasant and welcoming.

Traditional, old hotel beautifully updated by current owners. Located in the top corner of the busy main square with many restaurants and shops just outside the front door. It is officially a 3 star, but this is only because it is not possible to get a lift into the old building - the facilities and service warrant 4+. Our junior king suite was spacious and stylish, the breakfast room is light and airy, and the rooftop bar is an excellent addition.
