“Amazing place to relax”
The staff were exceptional, always very friendly and helpful. Aya was particularly helpful with our stay and we want to thank her in particular! The bath with a view of the Japanese garden was beautiful and the highlight of our whole stay, as well as the tea set and complimentary tea bags. The futons were also very comfortable. Thank you to all the staff!

It's a great place where just a super great staff, with its own hot spring and onsen. Judging by the history of this ryokan, it is very ancient and the imperial family itself stayed in it. We really enjoyed stopping there.

The guest room was very spacious and clean. There were two different sitting areas. The toilet was very cute , and there was a private bathroom with a wooden bath tub by the window so we could enjoy the bath and the view of the garden. The public baths were fantastic. We used it twice a day. It was not busy and very clean. The natural thermal water was fantastic. The changing area was very clean and well organised. The best thing about this hotel was the meals. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and beautiful. Also the Japanese garden was quite big, pretty and relaxing.

The staff are super nice and takes good care of us, the onsen hotel is having 160 years anniversary! Full of beaut and charm of history. Loved the Japanese garden the bath (unlucky their family bath is in renovation ), their coffee place too…..overall very satisfied !!

The place was nice. Had the features of a long historical lodging place. The staff was excellent and very kind. There is a convenience store and Donkihote nearby which is a little walk from there. The Japanese style garden in the middle of the facility was beautiful with a lot of fish in the pond. It was very fun and exciting to feed the fish.

“A magnificent stay celebrating 160 years of history!”
A wonderful experience at a legendary ryokan! We stayed during their 160th anniversary, and the atmosphere was so lively and festive. The decor is beautiful, and the central garden is a must-see. We also really enjoyed the famous indoor hot spring. The staff were very attentive and kind. A truly grand and historic stay!

Unique and authentic Ryokan experience! I suggest to try their dinner and breakfast offerings too if it is your first time and don't miss out on the public onsen and Japanese Garden. A short distance from Futsukaichi station just take a taxi or bus!

Love the set up of the hotel, friendly and helpful staff although most of them don't speak English, we managed with Google translate. The onsen on the hotel is fantastic and Japanese garden that is so serene and peaceful. Walking distance to local shops, Shrine
