“Book elsewhere!”
Terrible communication. This place deserves a very low 6/10 at most! You cannot pay by credit card and they message you 10 days in advance for you to send an international wire transfer (you cannot pay upon arrival). I should of had my guard up at that moment. Upon arrival, when I noticed that there was no fan at all during the Chiclayan summer, I inquired about getting one and they simply told me no and leave a bad review if I wasn't happy, at which point I wasn't sure if they were being deliberately insulting (likely) and/or simply unprofessional (very likely). If you are like me and book the place mainly for the gym, well 2 machines were not working, there is only a set of 2 dumbbells and not even a simple and cheap accessory like a mat to work on the floor!!! No bottle opener in the apartment, nor a towel. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!! You can even much better at the same price (with gym and pool) and with a host that will be kind and responsive ; so I would simply recommend to book an AirBnB instead (not even sure why this listing is on Booking). And do not be fooled by the (presently) high scores on Booking, as all the reviews come from Peruvians ; once the ratings are balanced out by non-friends of the host, it will be in the lower 5-6.
