“Felt at Home.”

Personal attention of Roque. We do not speak much Spanish but he was very skilled at communicating with us. We offered to pay his grandson to help us wash our car and it turned into a family affair with everybody getting wet. They also have a restaurant with delicious food and very reasonable prices. I think it was cooked by Maricruz, the wife of Roque.

Staff extremely kind and helpful, also provided us with an early morning packed lunch for free. Room surrounded by trees.

“Good location for Calakmul tempels”

The garden area is nice with plenty of plants & birds, lovely to relax here in the hammocks. About 30min drive to the entrance for Calakmul and a nice restaurant within walking distance. Simple yet clean accommodation & we got breakfast to take away which was nice as well!

“Relaxing.”

It’s the perfect spot to relax after a long day in the ruins. Felt safe despite traveling solo in a country where there are less and less places one can go by themselves. Roque was kind enough to provide a little breakfast each day and showed me some maps and books of the nearby places.

“Wonderful, comfortable place to stay near Calakmul”

Very spacious, clean and relaxing place, perfect to stay for visiting Calakmul. Much better than the pictures. The living room is big, equipped with tea, coffee and water. The courtyard with trees and hammock was great to spend time there. The host is attentive and helpful. Next morning, they prepare a bag with snack, fruits and water, which was lovely because they are hard to find in this remote area. Plenty of space for parking. Very near to the ruins, Chicanna which I recommend to visit after Calakmul, and Becán. After staying one night at a rundown Cabañas in Conhuas at similar price, this place is a heaven.

“A good accommodation option for a visit to Calakmul”

Welcoming host, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Relaxing rural atmosphere, nice village to walk around.

We stayed one night before Calakmur. It's about 100km to the Mayan city but we got up very early and it was worth it. Opsliga was very nice.

Super friendly staff. Showed us some maps of Calakmul. Clean. Quiet. We also received a little breakfast upon departure at 5am.

Our host was amazing. Gave great recommendations what to do in the area and surprised us with a goodie bag for a very early 4 am start!

We stayed at Otoch Beek on our way to Calakmul and found it a very good option for a stopover. The room was big, whereas the bathroom was on the smaller side. Everything was clean and our host provided us with water and some snacks for the trip to Calakmul.

The accommodation is very clean, quiet and sufficiently equipped. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, giving us all the information we needed for our trip to Calakmul, and even gave us a welcome pack of fruit, water and sweets. The location is ideal if you want to explore Calakmul.

We stayed one night before visiting Calakmul ruins the next morning. The host was very friendly and gave us tips and recommendations for our trip to Calakmul ruins, Facilities were better than expected (considering the simplicity and the appearance of the surrounding area), with a fridge, bottled water, toiletries... and sufficient for a overnight stay Provided us a small lunch box at checkout, which was more than welcome.

“Amazing service and comfortable room”

Great service! We forgot to book a tour to Calakmul on time and got help with booking a taxi drive late in the evening along with some tips, even got a lunch box for the next day!

“Recommended and good value”

This place is great value and in a good location for visiting Calakmul (although it is still a further drive of almost 2 hours). Basic but comfortable accommodation, nice touches such as a 'comfort kit' in the bathroom and a packed breakfast given to us the night before as we were leaving early. Definitely recommend.
