1. We had booked accommodation with breakfast included. Ten minutes before breakfast, we asked at the reception where breakfast would be served, and the receptionist told us it was in the restaurant around the corner. After waiting for 20 minutes to find out when we could eat, the staff informed us that there would be no breakfast today because there was no chef available. Completely irresponsible. They promised to refund the breakfast cost, but so far nothing has been returned. 2. Our room was located on the 14th floor. It was impossible to sleep without earplugs because of the ventilation noise and other sounds, probably from the ventilation systems of other rooms, coming into the room. It felt like trying to sleep in a moving car with the window open.

The location is excellent—especially if you’re attending theatre shows—and it’s very close to the subway, making travel to and from the airport easy. For our plans, the location worked well, even though the hotel itself felt somewhat lacklustre.

The Cambria Hotel was in a very central location, the beds were comfortable and the hotel was clean. The towels were new and clean, too. We stayed with our two children and were able to walk to lots of places.

“Last Cambria hotel for me…”

Weird building configuration again: doesn’t feel like a hotel … more like a reconfigured office building Listless personnel … don’t care much about the customers… So demotivated… not welcoming, borderline impolite and impatient Unserviceable treadmills in fitness room were never repaired after I asked for assistance. Not a big issue but illustrated the “don’t care” attitude of the staff. Personnel is also incoherent: I receive a written confirmation from the hotel about a request (it’s on Booking.com, 14 April). At checkin they say there is no request … Just got the feeling they didn’t care… could have changed my room the next day but zero effort was made to that effect. When I kindly asked, then suddenly it has to do with the type of room, no longer with the receiving of a message or not. That is incoherent… I got the feeling that this is not run by a hotel company but by real estate company and reception functions as the cashier, not hotel professionals. Last Cambria hotel ever for me …
