“Came to Japan for work and needed a temporary place to stay. This was perfect!”
The location was very good, only a short bus ride from Chiba Station, and there was plenty of good shopping along the way (I had to get some work clothing while there, and managed to have it delivered to a nearby Uniqlo). The owner, Joe, was also very kind, and helped me greatly with my transition to living in Japan.

“A nice, peaceful stay”
The location was nice, the garden backed into a bamboo forest which had birds singing in the morning. It was peaceful and quiet, a nice respite from city life. It was not that hard to get to from Chiba Station. Just had to keep an eye out for the name of the bus stop - but it might not be that simple for those who cannot read kanji or Chinese characters. There's a few supermarkets nearby, a Daiso (my guilty pleasure), and it's near a few bus stops. The breakfast was simple but delicious. Need to make pumpkin salad for myself now. The house is pretty old, but Joe-san has done his best to make it homey and comfy. There was a small desk provided in my room, and a lamp by the bed. If you're the sort that likes to mingle with fellow travellers, you might enjoy this place - there's a common area where you can sit, chat, or just chill. Joe-san also has a cute doggo, Hana, that you can hang out with. All in all, I had a good stay over here, and was quite reluctant to leave.

Warm host, delicious food and nice atomosphere, Joeさん's help and cooperation really did me a favor, became a unforgettable memory besides ロッキン. Guesthouse sits at 北大宮台, little far from 千葉駅 or other tram stop, so differ from noisy and busy town you could get the idea of original Japanese folk here.

The host was very, very nice. He offers a shuttle and a simple breakfast. But you can also reach the house with a bus. He really likes to get to know his guests and even invited us on a trip to a surrounding Prefecture, showing us typical japanese style food and an Onzen. I greatly enjoyed my stay in this friendly house, with garden in a quite area of Chiba.
