“A lovely home away from home!”

This guest house is a real hidden little gem. We stayed here with our family of 5: lovely spacious family room, very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean; wonderful authentic Thai grounds, lots of attention to detail and many interesting little corners to explore, including the beautiful pool area. It’s located about 10 minutes taxi drive from the old town and the hotel offers a complementary shuttle bus into town twice a day. Personally, I thought the area the hotel is in is lovely and much more genuine and authentic than the old town, which is nice but can be very touristy. The Thai family who run it are kind, attentive and worked hard to make us feel at home, especially when we came back really tired and dirty after two days in the jungle. Lovely home food served daily at the restaurant and at breakfast. We will be returning!

Joys House is a little oasis located about 20 mins red truck drive out of the bussle of the old Chiang Mai centre. The restaurant meals were excellent, the room we had large and clean and we did both the Thai cooking class and the elephant retirement park experience through them. Both were fabulous. To top off our amazing stay we were lucky enough to be staying at New Years Eve and Joys House arranged a dinner, music and traditional lanterns to be lit and released at midnight. What an experience for my daughters. Thank you for such great memories I hope we get to return one day.

Super nice Ressort outside the city with very nice bungalows, very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. The location is ideal for kids (pool and other things to explore, kids can move freely in the whole area) and exploring the area.

Very warmly. Attentive and friendly staffs. The staffs were very accommodative, cook a delicious dinner for us even though the kitchen was closed for order.

Joy’s house has a lovely vibe and is away from the hustle & bustle of chiang mai centre. The family room we had was spacious with big beds and two bathrooms. The whole complex is quirky and cute and the pool area was relaxing and attractive. We did a trip to Doi Inthanon and had a great day- would recommend. We also did the cooking course with the lovely Champi. It was quite a sociable place and families sat around the fire and even had the odd sing song! There’s pool table and tv area which the kids liked. We stayed 4 nights over Christmas and had a really great stay. The whole team are so friendly and helpful and made Christmas Eve really festive! It was easy to get in to chiang mai with the free shuttle and get a grab or bolt back. I’d recommend for anyone who wants a warm welcome and peaceful surroundings.

Gorgeous little oasis away from the busy city, quiet and peaceful, we are a couple but resort is family friendly with lots for little ones to do, Lovely comfortable bed and delicious breakfast each morning with fresh baked bread and banana cake, fantastic selection of fruits and hot to order section

Great place for a family! Pool with plenty of shade. Free pool and table tennis. Free shuttle bus twice a day. Very chilled. Good breakfast selection. Lovely owners. Great cooking course!

Very convenient with a family. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy, quiet yet not too far from town, super friendly staff. Rooms very spacious and clean. Good food and activities offered as well. We had a really great time and wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Joy’s house!

“Wonderful experience”

This is a great place to stay, hosted by a wonderfully friendly family. We've never felt such a warm homecoming feeling. While it’s not a 5-star resort, it offers one of Thailand’s finest experiences. Many tours are available on-site. The stay was lovely, though the neighbourhood is quiet; a Bolt ride gets you to the center in 15 minutes. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the pool is nice.
