“Great place to stay”

The host, Mr Manos is very friendly and informative. He will discuss with us every morning at breakfast where we should go for the day, and he gave excellent advise. Most of the places we went were off the beaten tourist track and we loved it. The room was large, rustic, clean and spacious.

A wonderful and unique place to stay. A comfortable, locally styled cottage offering pleasant privacy. Beautiful grounds. Delicious and varied breakfast, individually prepared. A very friendly and dedicated, yet unobtrusive host. A Toyota engineer from Bangkok who retired there and for whom it is clearly a heartfelt wish to ensure his guests have a wonderful time. We didn't take full advantage of his tips and knowledge, as we were at the end of our tour and were looking for a few quiet days.

Very helpfull owner. They really cared that I felt comfortable They also arranged a day hiking tour as the DoiLuang Chiang Dao was not accessible (fully booked)

A beautiful setting, so much greenery, the place is a hidden gem. Our host, Manus, was very informative and suggested a day out in the car. He was very helpful and drew us a little map to help us find our way. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and breakfast was made for us at our preferred time, a selection of teas, coffee, orange juice with eggs, toast jam etc. Toiletries are also supplied. There is a lovely little coffee and food bar as you turn left out of the property, on the roadside. The food is cooked in the family home opposite, I had an amazing Pad Thai there, my very first and my husband had a delicious iced caramel coffee.

The stay was simply perfect! Manos is an amazing person who went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. he’s a real gentleman, kind, patient, and with a big heart. He took us to local restaurants with delicious Thai food showed us stunning views around the area and helped us with everything we needed It was quiet, clean, and very pleasant place – an experience not to be missed! Huge thanks to Manos for everything

The host was extremely hospitable and helpful, taking us to the nearest 7-Eleven for some essential groceries as soon as we arrived.. He also provided much assistance in helping us plan our activities for our stay and acting as a local guide driving us to see the sunset from the nearest mountain and taking us to the elephant sanctuary located 40 minutes south of Chiang Dao. In the evening our gracious host made a vegetarian BBQ with local vegetables at a very nice and cozy campfire in the guest house accompanied by warm ginger tea. This was an amazing chance to get to know the other guests and have friendly and interesting conversations. The location is majestic, very beautiful and quiet, located under the mountain and surrounded by a small field of local crops (chillies, bananas and more). At night many stars can be seen. The room has everything one can think of. The host is very detail oriented and cares about the guests comfort. There's a shaded pagoda overviewing the mountain perfect for reading and relaxing. There's a fully equipped outside kitchen with a microwave as well. The bathroom and bedroom also have a great view. Breakfasts were sensational with delicious fruits and a coffee machine. The host also has a scooter for rent and there's so much beautiful nature around. Also the night market was amazing

Clean and in nature. Very pleasant and the location is great as it’s near lots of nice cafes and restaurants as well in walking distance.

Manus and his wife are perfect hosts. Manus is a real gentleman and very nice person. It is a great pleasure to talk with him, because he has a lot of tips and recommendations and also knowledge about Thailand. Perfect views, a lot of birds singing in the garden, a really nice place. Thanks a lot!

“An absolute delight from start to finish.”

This place is our favourite of all the places we have stayed in Thailand. The host and his wife are the most generous, kind and wonderful people. They welcomed us into their home and looked after us like family. They also made a big effort to provide us with nutritious and delicious vegetarian breakfasts each morning. We loved having our own little home with private kitchen and terrace surrounded by nature. Waking up to birdsong and misty mountains each morning is hard to beat. There are good eating options for dinner in walking distance, we enjoyed the cave bar. We are sad to leave this very special place.

We had a pleasant stay on our way to Chiang Rai. Our host was very kind and helpful. It is also a great spot for taking photos of the stars by night. We would recommend going up the mountain at sunrise. From there you can also go on a nice hike.

Manus and his wife are the most welcoming and amazing hosts you can wish for. The location of the house is outside Chiang Dao with a beautiful view of Doi Chiang Dao and the jungle. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast is served on your own terrace on your own requested time. Manus helped us to get around, to rent scooters, organized a guide for hiking, showed us local restaurants and made our stay unforgettable with his true local suggestions to visit in the area. Thanks a lot!

I don’t usually review properties but my stay here was so fantastic that I just need to take the time to give this property and exceptional rating. I initially planned to stay for two nights, and I ended up extending for a fantastic four nights and five days. My stay was made extraordinarily comfortable by the wonderful hosts, Manus and his wife. They were extremely accomodating for me and my needs - organising a hike (and dropping me off), providing excellent suggestions & giving me many gifts in the form of fruit and a beautiful bracelet. Accommodated for my eating requirements with a plentiful breakfast and even provided me with a cooker for the kitchen. Beyond that, my stay was peppered by the sound of birds, surrounding greenery, amazing coffee and was just generally a rejuvenating time. Thank you so much -20/10 recommend!
