“Exceptional, friendly farmhouse.”

It is a farmhouse in beautiful quiet countryside, well away from traffic. Our host, Patricia, was most welcoming and helpful. The decoration and cleanliness of the room was exceptional. We picnicked in an outside covered seating area as it is a good distance to the nearest restaurants. Traditional French breakfast at its best, with bowls of coffee, fresh bread, home-made jams, local yogurt, fruit, cold meat and cheese. It is our second visit.

Our hosts Patricia and her husband were very friendly and made us feel at home. They even shared some local wine with us. The "petit déjeuner" breakfast was awesome. It included jam & yogurt made by Patricia. They renovated the house which they purchased some years ago, very tasteful and functional, keeping some off the original structure. Our bedroom was very spacious with a nice view. Very comfortable bed. Huge bathroom. One needs a car to get to the gîte. It's near a beautiful lake, worth going for a stroll. We would go back to this gîte should we pass by again, perhaps for few more days as it is so relaxing. Thank you Patricia!

Patricia is a wonderful host and looked after us really well. La Haie Fleurie is on the side of a small hill with views of woods and the valley below. The house is well off the main road and has a peaceful area to sit outside. Patricia had excellent suggestions for places to eat in Nantua, which is a 10 minute drive away, and we also had a swim in Nantua's very beautiful lake. It was a lovely place to arrive at after 8 long hours in the car. Breakfast the following morning was exceptional!

What a beautiful setting,an old cow barn with all the original features. Patricia is a fabulous host who is chatty and smiley. Perfect clean and very spacious. A lovely area to sit outside and relax. Breakfast was divine. What a selection of cheeses and homemade jams and yoghurt! Thank you Patricia . Next time we will stay longer and enjoy hiking.
