This was really terrible experience. hotel was almost without personal, only some part-time workers. Breakfast was always served after half past nine and even if we had a reservation for four there was breakfast just for two adults. There was No internet and we were trying to solve it with personal for two days without any response. The owner does not replay to messages on booking and neither to booking itself.

We like that the hotel was pet friendly and that there was a grassed area for the dog. As well the staff was friendly and tired hard to communicate with us (They did not speak English and we did not speck Spanish) They also worked hard to rectify the issues we had.

We booked this property after a late water taxi from Belize, and we didn’t want to drive in the dark. The hotel was conveniently located in the sense it was a short drive from the dock.

“Perfect layover”

Great location. Very Clean. I was given room #10 overlooking the Lagoon which gave this room a lot of light. Very friendly helpful staff. The dogs are gorgeous. Breakfast was lots of sliced bread and a toaster provided with Jam and Peanut butter options. Then I had 2 egg omelette which was really nice. Coffee was good and there was hot water and different teas freely available. A short walk to get some great local food. Close to the Border Frontier for a taxi run. Plenty of hot water and reasonable water pressure. Internet worked well. Well worth a day or two stopover. No stairs / All at ground level.

“Out of the way but clean.”

Hotel Lagoon is quite nice but basic. A lovely cozy mattress with a large bed. The shower was terrific with nice hot water. Breakfast was basic but filling. We had scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, coffee/tea and a nice little fruit salad.

Very nice courtyard and grounds. Room was clean and very good value for money. Breakfast was good and coffee nice and strong

The bed was ok and the A/C was awesome. The hotel seems to be secure and comfortable.

The breakfast was Ok, the room was clean The place is good as a stop for the Zona libre shopping but not more than 1-2 nights to stay The staff was friendly and the pets, the big brown dog and the parrot, also

Could use some rework but other then that a very nice hotel and extremly hospitable employees.

I had a different room than what Booking had shown me, but the staff resolved that and were friendly. The pool and garden are very nice and the breakfast is good as well. In the room nothing special, but it was fine and the airco worked well. In close vicinity are some stands to get streetfood and there's also a supermarket close by.

The friendliness after a very stressfull mexico roadtrip gave us a perfect jump off spot to go into belize... the dogs that came to greet us were adorable and our dog got along with them well
