We stayed here to break a journey between Suisse and the UK. The hostess immediately made us feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. Our large room overlooked a river and was very well appointed with an extremely comfortable bed and very plush furnishings. It was exceptional value and included breakfast. Save your toll fees, travel cross country and stay at delightful finds such as this. We will be back!

The host was so welcoming and kind upon our arrival. The room was traditionally and tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed. The terrace above the room overlooking the river was delightful and in the cool of the evening it was pleasant place to relax with a drink.

The host was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Safe parking too which was important for us.

For us this was a brilliant find. Cheny is limited in what it offers, but Marie Isabelle's bed and breakfast is an exceptional place to stay. We loved the room and the view of the river. The courtyard is a real haven. We would definitely stay here again.

“Welcoming stay”

A real oasis with our room off a rustic courtyard behind locked, gated entry from the road. Quiet location and very welcoming owner. Charming room with views over the adjacent river and options to have breakfast from roof terrace, courtyard or inside. Our dog could be safely let off the lead in the courtyard and there was good walking into the village square and down to the river for him in the evening and morning. As this was bed and breakfast and we arrived on Sunday the owner took pains to provide us with options on where to get food and eat in the village.

We were welcomed warmly by the charming owner. She showed us our beautiful room overlooking the river, and explained everything. The room was a delight, wonderful, quirky and comfortable, but functional too with really helpful features like the mini fridge. The breakfast was wonderfully French, served out on the terrace of the beautiful main house. It really is a lovely place to relax and disconnect- much needed after a long drive. Parking is safe and secure too.
