“First hotel experience in China, one of the best hostel experiences ever”

I had a fantastic time at Sonderia. It mostly came down to the staff, Perry, Fiona and Jenny were all fantastic. the room was clean, everything worked as intended and advertised. the bar being part of the hostel downstairs made it easy to make friends from around the world. I met some of the best people I've ever met travelling at Sonderia.

Very nice place, easy to find, clean, great value for money, the bar downstairs is nice and the best is the staff are great. Perry was very helpful and very kind 👍

Great place to stay in Chengdu Close to metro nice big rooms everything worked well Breakfast excellent, staff awesome especially Jenny, bar in the evening nice and activities fun we did the dumpling making 👍

The staff here were amazing! super helpful and friendly with very good english. They also organise events in the hostel most days which are fun and free to participate in to meet with other travellers and locals. I enjoyed my time here and would recommend staying here.

Everything about our stay at sonderia was wonderful, great facilities, organised free activities music at the bar each night, the staff especially Jenny were exceptional, hospitable and friendly and also v efficient. Great breakfast and available all day. We will return. Also great location, so close to metro and great part of town to stay in.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in in a long time. Bed was very comfy with big thick blankets, lovely bathroom. Nice bar downstairs and friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Sonderias is a great place to get English support from very friendly staff and to use as a base to explore Chengdu. Wenshu Monastery is just a short walk away and you can wander along the river at night with locals. There is a metro stop just around the corner for easy access to the city. The hostel has different activities at night so you can mix and meet other travellers and locals. It also has great live music every night. Thanks to all the staff!!

The place is very clean and organized. Its only 5 minutes from the subway station. I liked here because its easy to socialize and the staff were incridible!!

The room was clean, and there is a nice bar at the entrance to the hostel. It was also unexpected to find gym equipment at the hostel. The staff I interacted with were great - big shout out to Bobo working the night shift! He brought out so much energy and gave me great advice for my travels!
