“Excellent location and hospitality.”
Location is superb - right next to the exit of the Mountain Villa. The staff were incredibly helpful. Allen in particular was hugely attentive with assistance in finding good local food, ordering and even sourcing the local rose pastry delicacy that I'd heard about. My room was wonderfully comfortable and spacious. Would be very happy to stay there again

“Friendly wee place, enjoyable, very accessible to local attractions.”
Excellent location for walking and catching a bus to the mountain resort and parks. Staff were very helpful and good fun... especially as we speak Mandarin. The room was clean and cosy. Good hot water supply! Breakfasts were good with fresh local dishes including millet porridge, hot soya milk and lots of yummy vegetables. The garden and outdoor seats were pleasant with a variety of temperate flowers and fruit like quince in season.

“A piece of history to stay in.”
Located next to the mountain resort and very short taxi rides to the various temples and the sledgehammer mountain. The court yard in front of the room is a good place to chill and if you have kids, they will love the place to run and play. Overall, a very good and comfortable stay. Definitely recommended!

“Great location in a historical city. We would stay here again.”
Great location very close to the entrance of the Summer Resort in Chengde. Staff was super friendly and helpful. One woman even met us at the street to walk us a short distance to the Inn, which is in a walking only section near the Summer Resort outer wall. Breakfast was a Chinese breakfast and was good. Rooms are in traditional buildings that appear (or perhaps are) very old, with tile figures as part of the imperial roof decorations. The beds are the traditional Chinese Kang beds, which may not be as soft as some Westerners are used to. Very clean. Good air conditioning.

the location is simply amazing. The hotel is in the city center but is so quite. The inner yard is really nice. Was great relaxing there while drinking a beer
