I stayed in a room away from the Chateau which was initially disappointing but it was so clean and comfy that made up for it. An evening meal in the Chateau was lovely as was breakfast. Safe off road parking for my motorbike as well.

“Step back in time in a chateau”
Stunning property and although modernised it is still in keeping with the history behind it all. Upon arrival and at meal times we were informed of the various stories behind the chateau and history behind the decor and service. They have kept the journey of stepping back in time exciting & educational. The dinner was freshly prepared by the owners and each dish came full of flavour. The bed was very comfy and the whole chateau quiet which gave a great tranquil night.

“Wonderful, comfortable with a strong sense of history and 'atmosphere'.”
We stayed for one night here at the Chateau de la Tourlandry and were very impressed with the building, the garden, moat and the interior of the house. All the furnishings and decoration of each room, hallway and stairs was in sympathy to the history of the chateau. There were many photographs with descriptions of the subjects, their history and connections with the Chateau and the area around it. There was a very peaceful air about the house and gardens and the hosts were very enthusiastic about their restoration of an ancient property and the environmentally sympathetic mode of operation in and out of the house. The food was excellent as was the wine, the hosts taking a lot of trouble to make us feel at home whilst informing us of all aspects of our stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who seeks peace, comfort and a stay in a historic building with interesting connections to NapoleonThird and some other royal characters of the 19th Century. The hosts green credentials are impeccable and they have an interesting project involving planting, education and art in the landscape.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the embroidered bedding waa very nice.
