So, this was my first time staying in a bed and breakfast abroad; and honestly, I had a lovely time. They give you key and beeper access to the gate and house; so you can come and go as you please. The breakfasts are light but copious. You also have access to the kitchen if you’d like to store anything in the fridge or even cook. The hosts were delightful. They’re a wealth of knowledge for cultural aspects of the region and they were more than willing to escort me on quick field trips to see some of the local nearby sites.

The location was very good, at the top of the hill on the outskirts of the town. It was a 20 min walk into town for the restaurant. Breakfast was very good, with home made jams and Brioche. The Owner was friendly and chatted with us over breakfast, which we enjoyed.

“Great two night break in a lovely part of France”
This was our second stay at this B&B. We love it. Madame Doux is charming and was very patient with us practicing our French!Her breakfasts are superb. The room and bathroom was exceptionally clean. Chauvigny is a 15 min walk. We highly recommend it to anyone and loved it just as much the second time.

Great hosts. Lovely breakfast. Spotlessly clean. Perfect if you have a car as you can park on the driveway. Only 10 minutes walk into town.

“Not your typical experience!”
It is a home stay, which I have never done. You have your own room and bathroom in the owner’s home in a residential neighborhood with easy access. The proprietor is a lovely woman, very kind and sweet. We had a breakfast of some if her homemade baked goods, bread, coffee and juice which is included. The garden is beautiful! They do not take credit cards, just cash or check. No English is spoken. Fortunately I speak French.
