Mostly used by people who plan to take the ferry from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh, the location is very convenient as you can walk from the hotel in 5 minutes to the ferry dock. However, they also have excellent excursions on offer in the region.

Stayed at Paris Hotel Châu Đốc mainly for its convenient location after arriving by boat from Cambodia and before starting a Mekong bike ride. The location is definitely the main advantage—very handy and practical for transit stays. However, the rooms are quite basic, and the overall facilities are fairly minimal as well. It’s fine for a short stopover if you just need somewhere to sleep in a good location, but don’t expect much in terms of comfort or amenities.

“Great short stay, would recommend!”

We only stayed one night and didn’t have breakfast (we did grab a takeaway coffee before we left for the ferry at 6.30am) but we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend. The lady at the front desk spoke excellent English and was really helpful with recommendations and directions, the shower was the best we have had during our 1 month stay in Vietnam and the bed and pillows so comfy!

Centrally located for the early ferry to Cambodia. Easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, ATMs and the market. Staff were friendly. The room was a good size and comfortable, a good shower. They offered us an early breakfast as we were catching the ferry or a takeaway breakfast. We had breakfast at 6am and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality. Fresh bread, eggs, fruit, yogurts and good coffee, sausages and bacon were on offer too .

“A nice, decent hotel with good value for money!”

A very decent hotel, excellent value for money! The best thing about this place is their hospitality and helpfulness. They organized our entire transfer to Cambodia: taxi-bus-taxi to the border, and a car was waiting for us on the Cambodian side of the border to take us right to our hotel in Kampot!

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay exciting. They called bus companies, arranged a private transfer, got us an easy to drive scooter, arranged a breakfast late in the morning. The room was spotless, everything was perfect.

What a great hotel just a 10 minute walk from the Victoria Hotel dock where our boat from Phnom Penh arrived. Really smooth check-in process and great recommendations on where to eat near by as our arrival was 60 minutes late. We were allocated a room on the 2nd floor which we thought might be a little noisy but the soundproofing was excellent. We slept exceptionally well and woke to the gentle sound of music outside. On looking out of the window a group of pensioners were doing t’ai chi across the road. The room was spacious with a large bathroom with a walk in shower. There was a large, firm but comfortable bed with lovely semi firm pillows which guaranteed a great nights sleep. Being lazy we took breakfast in the hotel. Although not an extensive menu, we did have loads to eat including baguettes, bacon, sausage, eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurt and a choice of freshly squeezed juice, tea or coffee. A thank you to the most helpful young man on reception (sorry I didn’t get your name) and a big message of thanks to Vy from the restaurant who not only prepared our breakfast, but she arranged our transfer to the FUTA Bus Station. Her English is excellent (learnt from TV and western music & being fellow Queen fans we could have chatted for hours) All in all a great hotel, conveniently located for the speedboat between Cambodia and Vietnam.

We stayed one night before getting the boat to Cambodia and it was perfect for our needs. Immaculate room with a particularly good shower and comfy bed. Great value for money and a 5 minute walk to the speedboat in the morning.

Location is brilliant, the beds are SO comfortable, the staff is very helpful whether it is to organise scooter rental, excursion or transportation. Very clean, bright and airy. We had booked 3 nights and extended our stay. Overall fantastic money-quality ratio.
