“Father daughter family reunion”

I was traveling with my 92 year old father. This was a family reunion of sorts. I was bringing my father to visit his 90 year old brother. We needed a place to stay for one night that was close by. As faith would have it,I used booking.com I could not have chosen any better than this home and we were treated like we were family coming home for a visit. Dad was given a room with easy access to a toilet for those middle of the night annoying pee pee needs. Diane put a night light for him to see better, she put the room a little warmer for him. He slept like a log. He was so happy and enjoyed his night. I had a beautiful room just across the hall from his,very clean and just so comfortable. I woke up well rested and ready for the long ride back home. Breakfast was so delicious and the presentation was so beautiful. We just didn't want to leave. A huge thanks to Diane and Mario, it is very apparent that everything you do is with love and from the heart. You both are so very appreciated by both dad and I. Thank you so very much. 😘😘

Very charming old house, built in 1755 and maintaining its character. View of the St Lawrence. Friendly welcoming host. Access to dining area where we could have our dinner that we brought with us. Host even supplied us with dishes, cutlery and wine glasses. Wonderful breakfast!

I loved how unique the house is with view to the river and with a little stream in back garden which made me relax at night. Diane was very welcoming and made me feel home right away. Thank you very much! Great experience for my last days in Canada.

The breakfasts they provided were great, the facilities very cozy, and the suggestions of things to do and places to see by the hosts very helpful. They spoke both English and French, making the interactions very pleasant. Very much a place we will recommend.

The Auberge has great views of the river and is situated in a good residential area, set in its own pretty gardens. The house is old, around 1780, so characterful and quirky, a relaxed, friendly, comfortable house to stay. Diane and Mario are friendly, relaxed hosts and made us feel very welcome. Our bed was comfortable, the room as to be expected in such an old house had space enough, and plenty of character, with windows overlooking both the garden and river. Breakfast is taken in a room with panoramic views and was homemade, beautifully presented, and on both mornings a lovely start to the day.
