An amazing place full of history, it was once a hunting lodge for French royalty. An incredible view of the river Seine from the bedroom window. A late night chat with the owner who couldn’t have been nicer. A great experience for those who value culture over modernity.

It is a beautiful historical house in a wonderful setting close to the river Seine. The hosts are very kind. For breakfast you could get an omelet and breakfast was served in wonderful breakfastroom wit h music from Chopin.

This chateau offers a very nice experience, large rooms, nice garden, everything you would expect. What sets it apart were the very friendly hosts. We felt nice and welcome there. The breakfast was also very good.

Everything was wonderful

Our host was extremely welcoming and very friendly. The location is superb and the chateau is what we call real France.

Pierre the host was charming and welcoming. We love properties which are different and the chateau certainly was. It has a beautiful but jaded feel, handed down through generations. The sitting room was transformed for breakfast. Beautiful music and simple (omelette, bread and yoghurt) and Pierre was able to provide me with a gluten free option.

With a lot of charme

The staff were so obliging and friendly. The rooms were basic but cleanliness of the rooms were outstanding.

Warm welcome by the owner, super nice location in front of the Seine river and an extraordinary French castle. Super well maintained with great charme and many things to do around the Fontainebleau forest or biking along the Seine river

The friendliness of Eric and Pierre, very welcoming and gave as a lot of information about the property historically. Lovely breakfast with beautiful Music…. The place is really beautiful and beautiful Garden.. and right beside the River Seine. With many Bardges going by. Plenty of Car parking within the grounds . So safe and secure place. And Eric’s Mum is so sweet. We will definitely return and recommend to all our friends.

Location - right on the banks of the Seine, about 10/15 minutes from Fontainebleau. Really sorry to say that’s about it.
