Welcoming and helpful hosts that answered all our questions but gave us private space in ”our” part of the house and garden. Beautiful old house with modern inside and all facilities you could ask for. A really good restaurant in the neighbourhour.

“Oasis of beauty and calm near Macon”
Staying in the gite at Carge d’Arlay was the highlight of our trip to Burgundy. The grounds are absolutely stunning, consisting of a walled and lovingly rehabilitated farmhouse and gardens with a beautiful pool. The gite has luxury amenities (flat screen TV in every room with Netflix, good bed linens, new appliances) and new interiors while preserving the key architectural elements of the old building. There is a lovely place to sit outdoors with a hammock. It was a great place to unwind with our toddler after some long days touring. The owners are very attentive and kind to children, making sure they have children’s dishes at breakfast and providing toys on hand for amusement. We would love to come back for a longer stay!
