Booked this place for a short stay and, in the spirit of public service broadcasting, I feel compelled to report my findings. Firstly, upon arrival you are invited to make your own bed. Not in a charming, rustic, “get involved with the countryside” way — more in a “you appear to have accidentally joined the housekeeping staff” way. Some of the sheets were also damp, which raises the unsettling question: from what, exactly? Dew? Laundry enthusiasm? A passing Labrador? The lighting deserves special mention. Each room features a pendant light hanging at a height carefully calibrated so that any adult male of reasonable stature will headbutt it repeatedly. I can only assume the designer was either 4’11” or harbours a deep resentment toward the cranially ambitious. Showers are available, technically. Unfortunately the water is not hot, which turns the morning routine into something resembling Nordic endurance training. I didn’t pack for cryotherapy. Breakfast situation: coffee provided, milk not provided. So unless you’re the sort of person who enjoys drinking what tastes like liquidised disappointment, plan ahead. And finally, there is no WiFi. None. In 2026. I half expected the host to provide a carrier pigeon and a slate. In summary: if you’ve ever wanted the authentic experience of slightly damp camping, but indoors and with more concussion risk, then this is absolutely the place for you. Three stars would be generous. Two stars would be charitable. So I’m awarding one star and a cautious nod for the roof remaining largely above us during the stay. Needless to say, I will not be returning — unless I develop a sudden interest in amateur bed-making and low-hanging chandeliers. Back of the net.

Good location for a stop heading to the Alps. Easy to check in and very spacious.
