Welcome to the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Charleston Downtown- WestEdge. We are perfectly located in close proximity to Charleston's Historic District. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites features a beautiful outdoor pool, complimentary Express Start hot breakfast buffet, complimentary high-speed wireless internet. We are within walking distance to Joe Riley Baseball Field, home of the Charleston Riverdogs. We are also a very short walk to The Citadel and The Medical University of South Carolina. “An affordable base for exploring Charleston”
Friendly staff, complimentary breakfast and a decent hotel gym made for a comfortable stay. Also, there's a sizeable Publix supermarket almost nextdoor, and a lovely park with a great view over the Ashley river.

My son's blood sugar level dropped to 44 about 5 a.m. I rushed down to the lobby to get a soda and candy to help get his level back up to a safe level. When I went over to pay the desk clerk his computer was being extremely slow. He told me to go with my items because what I was needing to do was more important than waiting to be able to pay for the items. He told me I could just drop by later to pay. That made me feel good to know they trusted me enough to come back and pay; but not only that, he knew the importance of taking care of my son's blood sugar.

“Perfectly good stay at a reasonable price”
It was a clean comfortable corporate hotel, for the price the location was ok, it much in the area to walk to though. It included breakfast, and I have to say there was a young Asian girl ( Thai maybe? ) keeping the breakfast room immaculate and topped freshly We didn’t use it, but it has a sort of self serve /Pay bar with wine and beer and snacks
