There was no view of the sea. My view was the parking lot. The front staff was very rude and abrupt. Whatever question I did have, I was immediately told there was nothing she could do. Didn't greet with a smile and was very rushed to tell me where the room was and that it did not include breakfast.

“Been staying St Christophers since it opened.”
Dining, I am sure you have had many poor comments. However do understand your situation. My wife was a waitress at the Gander Albatross for years, and during summer months they would hire summer students. They have the same issue, getting summers students to work, especially weekends, however have a larger number to draw from and manage to get by the summer period. Live in Moncton and when mention to cashiers that don't see many young people on staff, told they are hired but when weekend comes, never seen again. Might I suggest you consider cafeteria style instead of dining room, soups (p soup), stew, fish cakes, subs. Breakfest, bacon, eggs, pancakes, fish cakes. Think Newfoundland menu. Mainland experience and Newfoundland favourites.

Very close to Ferry terminal and it has an excellent restaurant, which were both welcome after a long ferry ride.
