The most authentic and caring place we’ve stayed at. You could easily throw a party for 50 people in the kitchen — it’s spacious, welcoming, and made for gathering people together. The owner is incredibly helpful, and from the moment you arrive, you genuinely feel at home. The only very minor thing to mention is that if you’re extremely sensitive to traffic noise, it’s worth noting that the place is next to a busy road. If you want to stay close to old town, this is the best place. We did not hear English until walking to Old town. But honestly, the apartment has everything you need, the atmosphere is wonderful, and being surrounded by local Greek people makes the experience feel even more special and authentic. I already can’t wait to come back in a couple of months. I truly couldn’t recommend this place more highly — it’s fantastic.

This is an outstanding place with an amazing host. First the host -Christos. Super helpful and accommodating. We needed something, he was prompt. I pinged him for recommendations and he was on the money. I asked him about Cretan olive oil and he sent someone who makes oil from their olive grooves at a super super reasonable price. The place is clean, with a perfect location. You can see the sea and can be swimming in a wonderful pool in 25-50 m. The apartment has everything you need and Christos left us wine, fruit, water etc. The cleaning lady is really good and very friendly. The apartment has an elevator to get to.

Wonderful hosts, always willing to help and welcomed up very warmly. The property is very nice, feels like a proper Greek home rather than a faceless rental apt. It is ideal for those who want a beautiful view of the sea and proximity to the seafront, combined with the urban vibe that the town of Chania offered.

Ranias is incredibly central and just a 2 minute walk to the narrow but beautiful beach visible from the apartment. The whole apartment is very well stocked, well decorated, spacious and comfortable. Christos was a wonderful and generous host, helping us with any questions we had and any help we might need. We're going to really miss this place and can't wait to come back again! -Steve & Amira

The location was convenient and you could sea the water from the balcony. The owner was helpful and directed us to a good bake shop and a local grocery store.

The apartment is really beautifully decorated with a simple decor. You had everything you need (washing machine, iron, etc.), so you really felt at home. The view of the city and the sea from the balcony was also very nice. The host was always helpful and friendly.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The view from the balcony was a sea view and a mountain view. Very close to bus stop for airport. The owner let us check out later.

We had never been to Crete before. A treat for my wife's birthday was made outstanding by the care Christos took to ensure we had everything we needed. Meeting us on arrival, he showed us how everything worked, how to get to the Old Town before leaving and in the oven was a traditional, homemade welcome dish of stuffed peppers - awesome. In addition, Christos left a birthday plant at our door on my wife's actual birthday and gave us a prepared traditional meal of potatoes, corgettes, multiple local cheeses the night before leaving along with some local Raki and Christos's own production of bio organic oil to bring home - which we can't wait to try!. The Old Town is full of history. The museums have English translations so making exhibits to read. The streets are old and quirky. Make a point of going up some side streets - you will see artisan shops were you can speak with the crafts people that made the products they sell - much nicer than buying from the tourist shops at the harbour front. We brought an app called Walk in the City which is actually a game but we used it to find points of interest we wouldn't have found otherwise. There is a lot of graffiti but some awesome artwork too! Christos treats you like a family member - nothing is too much trouble. He and Chania have left my wife with a very memorable 60th birthday. Thank you Christos!

The appartment is located within walking distance to the old port. The owner is friendly and readily available to serve. Nice welcoming with wine and fruits in the fridge. The house is fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. Beds are comfortable. All in all, what you get is to experience a typical urban lifestyle of Chania town, beyond any touristic influence.
