The location of the cabins was excellent; we felt private and secure, yet were right within the little 'market' complex where we could go out for breakfast or lunch, buy food etc. We woke up to a hot air balloon taking off right outside our cabin one morning - spectacular! We had lovely views of game from the front of our cabins. The cabins themselves were small but had everything one needed. Nice hot showers, cosy and private feeling. We had booked all three little cabins for our group so we were very private and no other people stayed or came near our cabin area. The larger cabin (4-sleeper) had a wonderful indoor fire heater which kept us toasty and warm.

The facilities are basic but where else can you walk naked from your outdoor shower to your cabin and only worry about the wildlife and the occasional low flying aircraft seeing you.

“Basic, all you need, lovely.”
It’s our happy place. Spa is helpful and Hannes and Martin are very accommodating. We love that you can go there with nothing and support all the lovely little local shops to get fresh veg, delicious meat, treats, meals and of course The Drakensberg Brewery is awesome.
