“A lovely, tranquil spot in a beautiful old building and lovely wild grounds.”

The building and the grounds were spectacular. The staff were so lovely. Very relaxed atmosphere. Amazing birds and other animals in the grounds, I spent ages watching them from my window.

“Quirky but comfortable”

We stopped one night on our way back to the UK. It is an impressive Château in expansive grounds. We had a spacious room with good views across the grounds. The breakfast choice was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful chateau in expansive grounds! Turret room was full of interesting art and furniture. Owner of the chateau worked tirelessly to make her guests comfortable and happy. Drinks on the terrace in the evening and fabulous breakfast accompanied by soft classical music. Close to good restaurants.

Stunning Château, with large, peaceful, well kept grounds, and a great swimming pool. The owner, and staff, were so friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights, and enjoyed every minute of our time there. Breakfast was v good, with a nice selection to choose from. The town is a touch too far to walk to the local restaurants, but just a few minutes by car ( or motorbike in our case ! ) . We hope to visit again in the near future.

We loved everything about our short stay. The reception put up with our late arrival and recommended an excellent local restaurant . “To put the icing on the cake. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic.” All was presented hygienically, all food covered or wrapped. The coffee was superb. I’m not filling in dislikes, there were none. Loved every second. Definitely return for a longer stay.

“A perfect stay in every way.”

The castle and the grounds are quite simply breathtaking. The architecture and decoration, inside and out is delightful, the grounds are very well kept despite the huge size. The rooms were such a fantastic change from the anonymous places we have sometimes stayed. Huge size, beautiful, tasteful decoration. The owners/hosts were warm and welcoming in every sense, genuinely trying to help us in every way: for example, they brought forward the breakfast time so that we could get to our wedding on time and bringing me up an iron and table to get our clothes ready.

Peaceful secluded location, lovely building and grounds, swimming pool, tennis court and extensive grounds to walk in. Storks on the roof provided extra enjoyment! Good breakfast and very friendly staff. Comfortable and cosy room. Safe storage for our bikes.

Very comfortable bed, the room was well presented, breakfasts were very enjoyable. The grounds are stunning and were a pleasure to walk around, seeing deer sheep and bird life.

Beautiful building and grounds, yes some areas looked like they needed repair but thought this added to the charm of the building. Staff were great always attentive. Pool area and patio were great. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of food.
