Another great stay at La Grange des Ecrins. Extremely relaxing, lovely hosts and wonderful food. This is a great base from which to explore the Southern Alps. We travelled with an 18 month old and there was lots for him to do at La Grange - slide/swing/tree house, and the owners were very accommodating preparing food for him.

The property is magnificently situated with a privileged view over the Champsaur valley, offering breathtaking scenery that we could admire all day. The owners were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home upon arrival. Jean's precious hiking advice was invaluable, leading us to beautiful trails in the area. The incredible dinner was another highlight of our stay, where we had the pleasure of meeting other friendly and interesting guests. The atmosphere was filled with joy, relaxation, and comfort, making it an unforgettable experience.

“Outstanding, Amazing and Memorable”

We loved everything about this place, the location, the house, the garden/pool area, the food, the hosts, the interaction with the other guests at dinner! Jean and Meg were fantastic hosts, Jean helped us daily with sightseeing and walking suggestions, Meg made us amazing food for breakfast and dinner and even a delicious packed lunch! We loved the atmosphere of the place, we especially enjoyed the communal dinners. The room had everything we needed but it was the overall feeling of the place that we enjoyed so much.

La Grange des Ecrins is a beautiful property full of surprises for spending a relaxing holiday close to nature. The hosts are extremely welcoming and thought about every single detail to provide the best stay possible. Diner was delicious and a great value for money. This is an incredible address that everyone should try!

I would warmly recommend the place to people looking for peaceful and authentic experience of the region, food and local hospitality. The hotel is run by Jean who knows the local area inside out and gladly helps you to get the best experience during your stay: sharing the best hiking trails, best local restaurants and sights. It’s a small hotel where you get chance to try the best of the local cheeses, dishes and drinks. The outdoor facilities of the hotel are magnificent - you will be eating your breakfast enjoying a view over the mountains, or spending your time at great pool and lounge area that make you relax already after the first day of your stay. We had a great time there and we feel like we were treated like family members! It’s a must visit !
