“Fantastic stay at IISOH”

Spent 4 excellent nights at IISOH. The location is of course stunning on the lake. The room, while basic and described as garden view, was clean, functional and all we needed for a comfortable stay, and you could still see the lake beyond the beautiful trees and garden. The service was excellent by all the staff, particularly Jimmy who served us in the restaurant/bar area. Food was well cooked, with a good variety of meals on offer, and the portion sizes are very generous. My wife and I were on the Half Board option, with breakfast and Dinner included, and we found it to be great value for money. An added highlight was the effort the staff made on our wedding anniversary day, surprising us with a meal right beside the lake, a large cake, chocolate and sweets. It really made our stay special, and we can't thank those involved enough. We hope to visit again in the near future!

I had a wonderful stay in a treehouse with an incredible view over the lake. The island itself is very quiet and peaceful – the perfect place to fully relax and recharge for a few days. The treehouses were definitely the highlight. Waking up with that sea view and enjoying the day at the balcony was simply beautiful. There’s also the option to go swimming, a sunset place form swimming or the opportunity to rent wooden style canoes, which adds to the experience. The treehouses are big with a comfortable bed, new and clean sanitary facilities, warm water and the balcony with stunning lake view - Everything feels spacious and thoughtfully arranged. WiFi is available at the restaurant (only) The garden and the entire property are very well maintained, creating a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. Payment by credit card was easy and hassle-free. Is a Eco Tourism place and the money will be used to Help the community ! 1. Training programmes and community outreach to empower the communities around Lake Bunyonyi. 2. Guest facilities to offset the training costs and enable the project to become self sustaining. Overall, the place offers excellent value for money and is a perfect little retreat if you’re looking for peace, nature, and relaxation and

The best place to stay near Kabale and Lake Bunyonyi. The facilities are great, the location is perfect and easy to reach from Kabale. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home all the time. Food is good and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Highly recommended!

“Perfect! Can’t wait to return one day”

Absolutely everything! It is just like the photos however those can’t capture the stunning views from the island, the friendly staff or wonderful sense of peace! I stayed in a treehouse, very cosy, comfy bed, mosquito net, hot shower & lovely view from the balcony. The birds in the morning were something else! The lovely restaurant area was a great place to sit and read a book as was the « Sundowner Deck » with sun beds, a great place to swim from or have a drink as the sun sets. The food was plentiful and good. This place is absolutely magic! Just don’t come expecting western mod-cons eg: you’ll need to charge devices while the generator is on between 6-10pm, there are some insects and if you shower too long you’ll run out if hot water - this is an island in remote Uganda! Oh and be warned, there is a steep path and sone steps to most of the accommodation..

i really liked to stay there. super hot water in the showers, the western food was surprisingly good exept the pizza. we got a free upgrade for the room since almost noone else was there what was really nice. also appreciante that the boat to the island from the parking lot is for free and is at no extra cost.

“Basic yet lovely community run place”

Lovely peaceful place on Itambira Island on Lake Bunyonyi. Very basic and little food choice but super sweet staff and very helpful.

Very nice location, great little cabins and friendly and helpful staff. It was fun to take the big wooden canoe for a paddle around the island.

The location in breathing and the little hut I stayed in was really beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was also delicious

“Place to be around or in Lake Bunyonyi”

One of the best breakfast I had in Uganda! Fresh, a lot of local fruits, pancakes and fresh juice. Combined with a perfect view over Lake Bunyonyi - perfect match! The cabins are absolutely lovely, warm water all the time and the price you pay for a room is really fair compared to other accomodations around the lake. Staff is absolutely lovely and you help the community with your stay and payment. If you want a 10 out of 10 go to Seeds of Hope.

+magnificent surrounding of the place,european style, clean,well-kept,with big trees +we got beautiful african style chuts with private bathrooms +great food +wonderfull staff (thank you for all) + place to put your wet clothes +additional activities to buy( birdwatching,canoe,meeting with local community) + suvenirs shop from local caraftmakers + small dock for swimming + peace,nature sounds in the morning + wifi was good however only in beautiful lobby( great view to the lake) +hot water + really nice bathroom + most of time electicity available,at least in lobby + no one bother you,isolated a little place time just for relax

The place is magic and the staff are very nice. They do their best for you to have a good and comfortable stay. The food is also very good.

The location is simply gorgeous if you are looking for relaxation. Far from any hustle and bustle on an island in the lake. Rarely do you hear anything other than the natural ambient sounds and automatically relax. The apartments are functional and nicely furnished. Electricity is available between 6 and 10 pm or on request. The water in the shower is nice and warm and the pressure is strong. The food in the restaurant is excellent, the selection large and reasonably priced. The included breakfast consisted of a hot drink, fruit juice, eggs, toast and honey with a choice of different preparations/juices. There was also a rich extended optional breakfast menu. The staff is very friendly and genuinely caring. We felt really comfortable and taken care of. We would really like to spend some more time there again.
