“Don’t hesistate in booking this hotel! I highly recommend”

The location! Every room faces the ocean - we slept with the balcony door open and watched the stars and listened to the ocean - magical! The communal kitchen gave us a place to eat, play cards, chat with others. Very comfortable stay and well priced.

“Super cliff hotel with amazing sea views”

As with most other reviews, fantastic location and great service. Steps at the side of the hotel take you down to a swim spot; it's rocky but fantastic to have a dip before breakfast. There's a walk into Spain off the road (up to the old border post); start the climb at Placeta de les Transporadores (monument to the women who transferred the oranges from Spain to French trains, and who were the first women to go on strike because of poor wages). The walk is less than an hour into Portbou which is great for lunch. Someone's removed the sign post, so just keep walking up behind the douane (unless you want to see the Republican - and Francoist - monuments on the road). The old Belvédère Hôtel in Cerbère is worth a visit (when it's open to the public). It's designed like a ship: imagine 30s grandeur - private cinema, tennis court on roof and beautiful dining room and salon. Menja i Calla restaurant (you have to order at the bar and collect the food when your name is called!) is fantastic. You can only reserve by dropping in beforehand. It was fully booked when we were there but managed to reserve for one of the nights.

The location was brilliant and the view was wonderful. The layout of the room was refreshingly minimal but it had everything needed. The sea views were stunning and the balcony over the sea was amazing. Breakfast on the terrace was a great way to start the day. Being able to use the facilities and eat our own picnic during the day was welcome and unusual.

I liked the views and the hotel facilities

An outstanding, idyllic location, with my room and balcony looking out over the sea. I loved waking up to the sunrise on the horizon and the sound of waves. The village itself is quiet, even in the height of the summer season, so peace and tranquility is guaranteed. The room was immaculately clean and the breakfast was excellent. The possibility of preparing a simple meal in the kitchen and eating on the terrasse at lunchtime or in the evening was a real bonus. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a lovely stay, and I look forward to returning 😊

“Fantastic everything (nearly)”

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff are very friendly, it is very clean. The view of the harbour and the town from the sea facing rooms is exceptional. The only real downside is the lack of parking. Cerbere is only a very small town so parking is going to be a premium. The location is great for access to many beautiful bays dotted everywhere along the coastline. It is only a very short drive to Spain. I have already booked for next year. Its well worth the money. They do breakfast for you 13,50 euros each and the kitchen facilities can be used as long as you clean up after yourself. There are restaurants in the town which is only a very short pleasant walk. There is also a Casino shop. You are right next to the harbour and beach of the town with lots of little coves. There is good walking routes but wear good footwear as some of the paths are slippy with the local slate. We walked about 2.5 miles to the next big beach and had a lovely lunch.

⸻ This hotel has the best view in town! The terrace is amazing. If you have a room with a sea view, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the breathtaking scenery. The hotel also offers the option to bring your own food and wine and enjoy dinner or lunch on the terrace. You can use the kitchen and have a wonderful time outdoors. Definitely the best!
