“Amazing stay in Celestún, highly recommend!”

We had such a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Celestún. Nicolas and Jess were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful ocean view, perfect for watching the sunset each evening. The property itself has a lot to offer, including private beach access with sun loungers and shaded areas, a lovely pool onsite, as well as standup paddleboards and canoes available for use. The location is ideal, just a short walk into town where you’ll find a variety of food options. Overall, a fantastic accommodation and we would absolutely stay here again.

“Great and Relaxing Stay”

Our stay at Playa 55 in Celestún was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is incredibly beautiful and spotless, and the private beach access is spectacular—just a few steps from the rooms, which makes the experience even more special. Jess and Nicolás are outstanding hosts. They were in constant communication and always attentive to any needs we had. Before our arrival, they shared all the important information with us via WhatsApp, which made everything very easy and smooth. One night we had a stomach ache, and they kindly provided us with medicine and checked on us to make sure we were okay. Their level of care truly made a difference. The pool is also very clean and beautiful, and the terrace is a spacious and perfect place to enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset. For breakfast, the Peter Pan restaurant is excellent and located only about a 2-minute walk from the hotel. For lunch and dinner, there are several good options within a 10–15 minute walk (our favorite were La Palapa and Pampanos), and you can even walk there along the beach, which makes it even nicer. Celestún is a wonderful place to relax—the people are friendly and trustworthy, and the atmosphere is very peaceful. We will definitely come back and stay at Playa 55 again. The accommodation was perfect—right on the beachfront. We could even use the stand‑up paddleboards and kayaks for free. Our room had a fridge that was restocked daily with fresh drinks, which was a wonderful touch. The incredibly friendly owners, Jess and Nico, made this place truly special. They helped us organize day trips and provided lots of useful information and great suggestions for exploring the area. We can absolutely recommend this place—everything was perfect!

“Perfect stay in Cestestun”

Lovely property set on the beach a few minutes walk from the centre of Celestun. Our host, Nico provided us with all the information that we needed and was always on hand for anything we may have needed. Our room (ground floor) was spacious and comfortable. Ditto the bathroom. Wifi worked perfectly. Safe off street parking.

Seeing the sunset on the beach of Celestun is really wonderful. The hotel was cosy with a nice swimming pool and despite we were the only guests and the hotel owners were absent, we were welcomed by Pascal in a very friendly way.

Beautiful garden! Rooms modern, bright. Bed comfy too. Safe and easy to access. Quiet end of the street too. From what we saw of Celestún, I'd suggest it was the smartest accommodation in town. Folks running it speak perfect English and are friendly and helpful - spot on. Pool looked really nice (we didn't have time to try it).

This a beautiful place. Safe. Security 24 hrs. Appreciate the outdoor shower. Expensive. Blew the budget on this one. As a canadian. $200 per night. Replaced water bottle daily. Sodas in fridge. There is a small fridge. If you want quiet relaxing time. This is it.

It’s a very beautiful, peaceful and quiet place, just next to the sea. The host Nico was very friendly, caring and supportive. His recommendations regarding restaurants and trips were just perfect for me. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my four nights stay. I highly recommend it to everyone who likes to relax.

“A lovely clean comfortable hotel right on the beach”

Can’t fault the property or the owner. Super friendly reception, convenient location, very quiet, safe, nice sunset views, good restaurants close by and a lovely hot shower, it was so appreciated. The hotel arranged a lovely crack of dawn canoe tour which we thoroughly enjoyed, do it if you like nature, it’s more gondola than canoe. I’d certainly return if back in the vicinity.
