The B&B is like a little oasis, lovely and clean rooms, a large private garden, parking and a beautiful swimming pool! We only stayed for the one night to be close to the airport, but the location would have been excellent for exploring the local area as it is so close to the city and also the beach. Our hosts were lovely, and very helpful with information on the area. We had a very relaxing time here and would recommend it!

“Beautiful ambience and delicious breakfast”

The host is very friendly and nice. He is a great guide as well, he gives the best recommendations about what to visit. The breakfast was very rich and delicious. The room was excellent: perfectly clean and spacious. It was great that we had a safe parking space. We also got coupons for the beach near the B&B to enter for free. It would have been practical to have more hanging places for our wet clothes inside our room but it wasn't a relevant inconvenience.

“What a great place”

The location was excellent. It was very close to the airport but no airport noise. The beach was reached in 5-10 minute walk and the walk to the center of town was down a dedicated and protected pedestrian/be path. There were several restaurants very close, one being right behind the B&B. Also a supermarket was very close as was a gas station for filling up before heading to the airport. Toto and Lisa were excellent hosts and went beyond to meet our needs. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip.

“Peaceful oasis in a busy city”

Beautiful building and comfortable accommodation. Just 5 rooms so it's very quiet, and the family are very welcoming. Breakfast is great, with different local varieties each day as well (including fresh canolo!) It's a peaceful oasis on the edge of a very busy city. We used local buses and train and were able to explore Catania, visit the beach, Syracuse and Aci trezza easily. You can get Etna tours to collect from the door (although we didn't have time!). Very nearby there's a very good local/family fish restaurant, a canteen style cafe with hot food at lunchtime and evening, and a cafe with cakes and ice cream. There's also a supermarket. A short walk there are a few more restaurants towards the beach. And a 15 min walk or quick bus to all the restaurants and bars around the duomo, fishmarket and more. Useful to know - the bus times can be a bit unpredictable, but all the buses that pass are going into the city.

What a beautiful place to relax at the end of a busy holiday. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful and we were so pleased to have found this oasis just outside the old city. Our room was well furnished with plenty of space and very clean. We really appreciated the lift to the airport (for a nominal charge).

Everything! It’s it an amazing property with all the comfort that you need. Beds are amazing, rooms with nice air conditioning, cleanness top notch. I don’t try the breakfast but my husband said it was really good. The swimming pool is the gem of this place so clean and beautiful. I wish I could have stayed more days!

Room and whole facility is stunning, clean and very well maintained. Toto and Lisa are superb hosts and very helpful. Location is superb - near both the beach and the historical old town. Breakfasts were delicious with a huge selection. And the pool was an added bonus on the very hot summer days.

The hosts Toto and Lisa were great and so helpful. The facilities are great and the breakfasts as good as you will get anywhere. The pool and surroundings are beautiful. The area is a little remote but the bus services are regular and easy to use.

“Spotless Rooms with a Kind Host!”

Toto, the host, was incredibly kind and helpful. He gave us detailed recommendations for places to visit in Catania, local trattorias, and bus information, which made our stay in Catania truly enjoyable. The swimming pool was fantastic—our 11- and 6-year-old sons had a great time playing in it. Breakfast was beautifully presented with a wide variety of options, and the host served us delicious cappuccinos with plenty of foam. There was a supermarket nearby, which was great for family trip. We bought drinks and snacks there. The entire property was spotless, and the interior design was stylish and tasteful. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. We would absolutely love to stay at this B&B again the next time we visit Catania!

Like a very upmarket home stay with hosts who can’t do enough for you. Super informative about the town and more facilities that we have seen elsewhere including Nespresso machine and washing machine. Spacious modern rooms . Such a great place to stay.

We a absolutely loved our stay at Sciara Biscari !!! From our first contact at checkin we found everyone super friendly and so helpful with everything from local eateries, landmarks, beaches as well as info on the history of Catania. The location of the property is absolutely perfect. It’s an oasis with beautiful gardens and a fantastic pool yet only short walk into the centre of Catania and in the opposite direction a short walk to beautiful beach that runs for 5 kms with both public and private beach clubs that are priced so reasonably for sun chairs and umbrellas . The rooms at Sciara Biscari are just so well equipped with absolutely everything you might need and more. They are very roomy and there is ample space for luggage and bits and pieces. We really valued the private carpark that kept our car secure and really enjoyed the fantastic breakfast provided sitting outside overlooking the pool. Another lovely touch was the reception area has a tea and coffee station that can be used all day with biscotti and chocolate also complimentary. Overall a gem of a property in a fantastic location.

Great Stay Close to the Airport with a Warm Welcome We had a very pleasant stay at this B&B in Catania. The photos on Booking are 100% in line with the reality. the house itself was great—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location is very convenient, especially if you're arriving by car or need to be close to the airport. Free parking on-site was a big plus. We were also able to check in early at 10 a.m. without any issues, which was much appreciated. The owner, a former marine, was incredibly welcoming and shared lots of helpful information about the area. The B&B is about 1.5 km from the city center, which is an easy walk or a short bus ride (bus stop just 200 meters away). While the surrounding area isn’t particularly charming, it’s very typical of Catania, so it wasn’t a surprise. Overall, a solid choice for a short stay with great hospitality.
