Overview
B&B Alba is set in a historic building from the 1700s, and features elegant rooms with a city-view balcony. The B&B is in central Catania, a 10-minute walk from Borgo Metro Station. A free internet point is available to guests. All air-conditioned, rooms come with a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with hairdryer. Each also has a desk, and floors are parquet. The building has lovely vaulted ceilings with frescoes. An Italian breakfast is served daily with savoury foods on request, and a free shared kitchenette is available. Guests have discounts at a nearby restaurant and car park, as well as at some of the private beaches. A room with a computer is available to guests free of charge. Catania Centrale Railway Station is 2.5 km away from the Alba, and Mount Etna is 30 minutes by car. The boat harbour is a 6-minute drive from the property, with links to Naples.

The staff said that the room was overbooked, and gave us a room in some other hotel, which is in the same building. The room was no match for what we booked. Small, without a balcony, with only a very small window to the wall of the next building, and it needs a good clean. We had a very tight schedule, so we had no time to argue. Very disappointing.

Very spacious room, with big bathroom and very comfortable mattrees. location was very central , close to some of the best restaurants in the city, as well as close to main bus stations. Great location from the airport.

I like that the property is located in the centre of the city, which is rather easy to find, and surrounded by numerous restaurants and shops. The view of the city and the mountain Etna is fantastic.
