“Excellent place with an even better host”

Everything was perfect, Sandro is an amazing host and I thoroughly appreciated his hospitality and care while I stayed here. The location is excellent, it's right beside the main mall with easy access to all areas that one would deem worth a visit in Castro.

This is hands down my best accommodation experience in Chile. The owner was incredibly hospitable, sincere and went above and beyond to ensure the stay was no less than excellent. Bedding was fantastic and the place overall was immaculate. Rooms were cosy and the place felt safe, tidy and respectful. I wish I stayed here longer. Would be glad to go back, and will be recommending it to friends and family if they ever go to Chiloé. A special thanks to Sandro!

Beautiful large room with comfortable beds and excellent shared spaces that were well equipped and perfectly clean at all times! Sandro helped us a lot with ideas on how to spend our time in Chiloé and was super helpful at all times.

“Nice cute room with a sea view in Castro!”

The place is nice and a Tommy with sea view was really cute and lively, we liked it. Sandro is a very helpful owner, who gave as useful advices what to visit on the island. It is really convenient that you may use laundry service on site.

It was a pleasure to stay here. The staff are very friendly and can always recommend free walking tours in the city and surrounding areas.

Sandro the host is the kind of friendly, helpful person you always hope for but rarely find. Customer service is his strength. Don't be put off by the external appearance of the building. Inside Sandro makes the most of the building to provide an excellent place to stay for price. Cleanliness is so important to Sandro as he cleans the facilities after every use. Thank you.

“Exceptional hospitality and great location/rooms”

We had a wonderful stay in Castro. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us great tips about activities, routes, and things to do around the island, honestly the most welcoming host we’ve ever had. The room was spacious and spotless, and the kitchen was fully equipped, with coffee and spices available to use. Considering the comfort and hospitality, the price was very low for what you get. Highly recommended!

Lovely wooden hostel with great kitchen facility. The host Sandro is extremely helpful, he knows everything about Chiloe and provides with wonderful tips and hints on what to do and see in the area 12 out of 10!

The room is super comfortable, Sandro is really attentive and very helpful. He provided a map which included all attractions in Castro is very efficient. I would like to recommend it to everyone!

“10/10 hostel in Castro”

Great size room, very comfy bed, warm showers and good sized kitchen with lots of gadgets to use.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. All the facilities were great, in particular the very well equipped kitchen (even providing oils and spices to cook with), the clean bathroom and the cosy reading area on the first floor. Sandro was also an incredibly friendly and helpful host, providing me with detailed suggestions for places to visit (on Qinchao Island and by the national park in Cucao). I'd definitely stay here again!

“Cosy stay”

Sandro & his wife were wonderful. Had good recommendations on what to do around town. Very friendly, helpful & accomodating. We did a hike, and he kept our excess luggage for us. Rooms & shared areas are kept very clean & comfortable. Photos online are accurate. Good rates for doing the laundry. Good Wi-Fi It is up/down a steep slope from the city centre, so best if you don't mind elevations.

The hostel owner and manager, Sandro, is very helpful. He will give you every night some excellent trip suggestions for the following day (without selling you any tour but just giving you his honest and helpful suggestions for local bus excursions). They are of great value! Bathrooms are cleaned regularly, and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to cook. We were in Chiloè in Chilean winter so it's quite cold outside. But you'll find electric heating in your room and extra blankets (if necessary). 7 Min walk from bus station (down/uphill) is a great plus

“Perfect! :)”

The very best thing about the stay was the really nice, helpful host Sandro! He gives a lot of detailed tips, even with maps routes and is always approachable and ready to help you with anything. He also speaks really good English, which is great if you're not fluent in Spanish. In general, the hostel is very lovingly, tastefully and comfortably furnished - with woven art on the walls and a small reading corner, a few board games, a nice lounge with a cozy fireplace and a well-equipped kitchen. Everything is very clean and is cleaned regularly. There is also a very good laundry service for 10000 CLP. We even stayed a day longer than planned because we loved it so much. :D

This is a really neat and stylish hostel. Everything was constantly kept clean and tidy. Rooms were in great shape with modern equipment, comfortable and warm. The kitchen is spacious and provides plenty of everything for cooking and food storage. There is also a coffee machine and free tea. Best of all is the host who was super friendly and helpful. He provided us with great recommendations for daily trips around the island, what to visit, how to get there, popular highlights and germs off the beaten track. His effort was just amazing. We enjoyed our stay here very much. During 8 months of travels this was one of the best hostels we stayed at, and we would come back to the place at any time.

“From Two Nights to Twelve – A Perfect Stay”

I highly recommend staying at Estación Hostel. It's a quiet and clean place with private rooms in a great central location. The kitchen is spotless, and there's a cosy common room with a fireplace. The host Sandro speaks English and was very easy to communicate with. I planned to stay only two nights, but I ended up staying twelve! The island is beautiful, but what really made me stay longer were the amazing hosts. Every day, they helped me plan a new tour so I could see a different part of the island. They were so kind and made sure all my wishes were taken care of—even helping me see a pudu! Thank you so much for everything!

“Amazing place”

Sandro was an amazing host, warm and extremely helpful. And always available. The place is super pleasant and close to the city center. Common areas are welcoming and you can borrow some books and maps. It looks like it’s in a historical building.

“Perfect place to stay”

The hostel is excellent, very clean and comfortable, and in a great location - right on the water, with beautiful views, and less than 10 minutes from the bus station. The kitchen is very big and well equipped for guests, with spices, tea/coffee, etc. and shared spaces are kept very clean and welcoming. Our bedroom was very comfortable. Sandro is incredibly welcoming and goes above and beyond to give advice on restaurants, buses and also detailed suggestions for day trips, including Google map routes which we found super helpful and filled our four days on Chiloé Island! We highly recommend this hostel!
