5 Star stay at Hillcrest. The accommodation was absolutely beautiful and so clean. Plenty of space for the 7 of us. The hosts were exceptional, even going above and beyond by organising transport for us to the wedding we were visiting for. I could not recommend this place more. The town is perfect with lots of places to eat and drink and the locals were so welcoming. It was a fantastic stay x

“The Beautiful Hillcrest ....5 stars”

Like a lot of previous reviews the Hillcrest totally lived up to our expectations. This is a beautiful home finished to a very high standard. Emma and Raymond must and should be very proud of the standard they have accomplished with this property. The situation of the house could not be better a nice downward stroll to the lovely town of Castleblayney with everything needed in town on hand and some very good restaurants and cafes .The house is immaculate and bedrooms and living areas are all decorated with great decoration and not just a plain old room, in fact more boutique style.The bathrooms are no let down either ,they are also of a very high standard and exceptionally clean.an added bonus is the lovely gardens well tended to and it is lovely to have the private and enclosed courtyard garden to to rear of the house.We met Raymond who was an exceptional host and unfortunately did not meet Emma but as we all know at the back of every man is a great woman .We certainly hope to return on another occasion to the lovely Hillcrest and wish Emma & Raymond continued success with their lovely holiday home going forward, Regards and many thanks Ian & Aisling.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Hillcrest! This beautifully appointed 4-bedroom bungalow is just a short stroll from Castleblayney town centre yet feels wonderfully peaceful. The moment we arrived, we were struck by how spotless and tastefully decorated every room is. The house boasts two cosy sitting rooms—ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring—and a superbly well-equipped kitchen. We loved gathering in the spacious dining room for meals and games. The complimentary Irish fruit loaf was such a lovely, heartfelt touch (and delicious!). Each bedroom was exceptionally comfortable, and both bathrooms featured powerful, invigorating showers. The enclosed courtyard became our favourite spot to soak up the sunshine during the mini heatwave—it truly is a sun trap! But what really set our stay apart were our hosts, Raymond and Emma. Their warm welcome and attentiveness made us feel like treasured guests from the very first moment. Raymond even treated us to a private tour of Big Tom’s hometown—an unforgettable experience for my granddad, a lifelong fan. Leaving The Hillcrest was bittersweet. It’s not just a stunning property—it’s a testament to the genuine care and passion Raymond and Emma pour into every detail.

“Accommodation worked out better than expected”

Everything location facilities, hosts checked in to make sure all was OK and if we needed anything. We had a special request for a specific chair for my elderly mother and they got it. Had tea and coffee available for us and a few treats which was a nice touch, reasonably priced and lovely decor

The accommodation was wonderful. Everything was clean and sparkling. There was a slight hiccup with the Internet connection, which Emma resolved very quickly. Both Emma and Raymond were friendly and offered to help if we had any problems.
