“A real hidden gem! We had a fantastic stay at the chateau!”

A real hidden gem with fantastic rooms and an amazing host! Michelle is a real star and made our stay even more enjoyable. Great recommendations, excellent communication and a super friendly hosting style! Breakfast was very generous and welcome drinks a lovely touch. The pool and grounds were beautiful and the owner of chateau has carefully and tastefully restored the building.

Beautiful old house, tastefully renovated. Great location if you want to feel connected to nature. Michelle is an excellent host, going out of her way to meet all our needs and making sure her guests feel at home. Auch, a picturesque little town is only a 10 minute drive away. Will definitely be coming back. 🙂

A 5 star boutique hotel in a stunning location. Breathtaking views from the terrace. Pristine swimming pool - perfect temperature in the hot weather. Abundance of wildlife. Great for the whole family. Michelle was a fantastic host with great recommendations of nearby places to visit (Saturday market in Auch, spa in the foothills of the pyrenees, a local recreational lake).

Beautiful large bedroom with en-suite bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen. We recently stayed at the charming Chateau D’encassagnard, located just an hour west of Toulouse Airport and on the outskirts of the historic town of Auch. Our 3-night stay coincided with a nearby wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a more idyllic accommodation. From the moment we arrived, our host Michelle made us feel incredibly welcome. Her warmth and hospitality were evident throughout our stay. A formerly from London, Michelle purchased the chateau in 2022 post-Covid to live out her dream. Now, in 2024, she has transformed it into a beautiful retreat for guests. The three-bedroom chateau is impeccably restored and tastefully furnished, blending classic charm with modern amenities. The property spans several hectares of serene, picturesque land, dotted with walnut and fruit trees, offering breathtaking rural views and a peaceful ambiance. A seasonal swimming pool along with outdoor furniture and bbq area was very welcome in 34 degree heat. Michelle’s hospitality extended to a delightful breakfast each morning, featuring an array of cheeses, meats, fresh baguette slices, pastries, fruit, yogurt, and plenty of coffee and tea. The kitchen was fully equipped with a Smeg kettle, toaster, coffee machine, and a spacious fridge and freezer, all of which we were welcome to use. The interior of the chateau boasts tall ceilings and stunning views through white shuttered windows, adding to the overall charm and comfort. The bedrooms were huge and all had beautifully appointed en-suites Additionally, Michelle provided a travel cot for our newborn grandson and access to a microwave, which was a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more comfortable. In summary, Chateau D’encassagnard is a hidden gem. Michelle’s dedication to her guests, combined with the beautiful surroundings and exquisite accommodations, made our stay truly wonderful.

The property is gorgeous. A fantastic mix of old and modern. Modern facilities with a gorgeous kitchen and lovely bathrooms mixed with the original features of a beautiful chateau.

Stunning Chateau in beautiful woodland location. Michelle was the perfect host, going over and above to ensure our needs were met and our stay was comfortable. We stayed in 2 ensuite rooms, which were huge and exceptionally clean. Bonus was the use of the newly installed pool and the free reign to walk around the grounds and use of the olive terrace. Continental breakfast was a welcome sight each morning and was plentiful. Michelle made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning. Thank you, Michelle!
