Castel Monastero is set in a restored mediaeval hamlet from the 10th century. This historic castle offers beautiful views of Tuscany, a pool, a wellness centre and 2 restaurants. “Good value for money”
Beautiful large hotel with many pools. Grat spa facilities with a magnesium pool. Very clean. Gorggeous bathroom design. Good choice for breakfast.

“Fantastic. One, if not the, nicest place I have every stayed.”
WOW! Everything about this place was fantastic. Our room was very spacious, beautifully decorated with a stunning view from each window. Exceptional breakfast in the courtyard. We ate in the two restaurants which you could not fault the service. We did opt for the Michelin star experience, which was very costly and to be honest and, in our opinion, not really worth it. The food wasn't totally to 'my' liking (I accept you can't please everyone), but you definitely could not fault the service which was exceptional and don't let me put you off. The pool area was lovely. We cannot fault this place and I would love to stay here again should we get the opportunity.

“The best”
At the booking site. Fantastic stay in a wonderful place! We loved the room, the place and the staff! Can’t wait to go back. Worth to stay at least 3 nights. We stayed 2 and fell so sorry to leave. The manger of the restaurant is 5 stars! The food was great and the breakfast fantastic!

“Amazing!”
I had an amazing experience at Castel Monastero. The staff were extremely friendly - as soon as I told them it was my birthday they showered me with surprises including birthday cake and birthday balloons with a bottle of wine in my room! The hotel was extremely clean, breakfast was great. Couldn’t choose a better location for my birthday getaway!

“Nice disconnecting setting at the heart of Tuscany”

The manager of the breakfast could use a smile. He was very serious all the time, quite unpleasant to look at. Specially in contrast with all the other members of the staff that were really nice and smiley.

“Our stay was excellent: no downsides whatso ever.”
The stand out feature were the staff - every single one was friendly, helpful and always happy with a “can do” attitude. The best team that we have been with over many years of travel worldwide. The restaurant was good and everything - all dietary requirements - was, with no exception, too much trouble. Three outside pools and plenty of places for groups to sit out and also for a more quiet relax away from others. Some manageable walks out of the hotel which is set in beautiful Tuscan countryside. Our suite was excellent and the whole property was unique: a village unlike any we have encountered before. It is a Retreat more than Resort and a car is necessary to travel more widely or a very easily organised and reliable taxi through the hotel. Siena is within easy striking distance by car or taxi.
