“Lovely small”
Owner very helpful about places to visit around Gorge de Verdun. He had a motorbike so very helpful on that score. Owners were Dutch so of course spoke good English. Easy walk into Castellane.

“Perfect stay in the perfect place”
Great location, very close to a market and the city center and Castellane is the best place to stay if you want to enjoy the Gourges of Verdon. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, they will give you lots of advice in order to enjoy the beautiful places in the area. The breakfast is very good and with a good choice of both sweet and savory options. The apartment was very nice, clean and with all the necessary to your stay, even to cook meals by yourself. Plus, there’s a covered spot to park the motorcycle. I highly recommend this place, when I’ll come back I’ll definitely ask there first for availability!

“Ideal location for peaceful exploration of rural France!”
Very helpful & friendly host who spoke perfect English! The room was comfortable and warm, and the breakfast was great! The local town was interesting and we were able to eat there of an evening. My son walked up to the chapel above the village before breakfast.

“Would love to go back and stay longer to explore the area more”
Stayed in one of the apartments which has recently been renovated. Everything was great, clean, very well maintained and the kitchen was well equipped. The breakfast room was lovely and hosts provided a nice breakfast. Just a few minutes to walk to the town where there was a good choice of restaurants and bars, our host gave us recommendations. Unfortunately too early in the year to take advantage of the pool. Convenient for a large supermarket and fuel.

“A small apartment that has everything”
The place is simple but has everything. We took a small apartment. The kitchen is well-equipped and we stayed there for two evenings. We only went out to a restaurant one evening. In mid-October it is already cold in the morning and evening. The heating in the apartment was very pleasant. The breakfast is nice and the hosts are welcoming.

Small B&B where you actually get to talk to owners. Folks were friendly(so as were their guests), there is a pool. Room looks exactly like in photos, everything was clean. There is kitchenette but I did not need it. Continental breakfast with boiled egg was a great way to kick off the day It’s a short stroll from the village which makes it quiet for a sleep

"What a wonderful place! We felt at home right away. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful, the large garden is beautiful , and the apartment is both charming and cozy. The location is perfect — peaceful, yet just a short walk to a supermarket and only 10 minutes from the center of Castellane."

I really liked the stay at Maison Castellane, the owners were both friendly and helpful and I appreciated that greatly. The cleanliness was exceptional, it was the best I've experienced in any short term rental in France and I loved it. Very quiet, calm and nice place and would love to stay there again.
