“Breathless sea view in Castellabate”

Residenza Tamara offers breathless sea view in the heart of Castellabate. The host Ciro guided us through public parking slots down the road and gave us recommendation for exceptional local restaurants and sightseeing and shared stories of the ancient Tamara Residence. We had a unique experience, we enjoyed spending time on the balcony at the sunset and we loved the cosy atmosphere at the morning breakfast with typical italian sweets and coffee. We recommend Residenza Tamara and we are pretty sure to come back in the near future.

We had a great stay at Residenza D’epoca Tamara! Our host was a very lovely man, made us feel very welcomed! The apartment is great, view is simply breathtaking. Also one of the most comfortable beds and pillows thought our trip - had a really nice sleep there! We have spent there 2 nights at the end of october, the weather was very nice the first night, second there was a storm and a big wind, but it was nice to watch the changing views through the window, kind of felt as if we were in the clouds! Recommend staying at residenza tamara for the fantastic vibe, very nice host and just simply the best views possible!

Residenza Tamara is situated in a fabulous location, with some absolutely gorgeous views, especially during sunsets. And the personal treatment we received from Ciro, the wonderful host, was outstanding. All the best tips for things to do - restaurants/beaches/places to visit came from him.

We had a wonderful stay here! The apartment offers magnificent views of the sunset, the sea, the city, the night skyline, and the beach — truly unforgettable. The residence is set in an authentic historic building, which gives a special charm to the atmosphere. Parking is very convenient — located right in front of the building. Access is easy and secure through a code. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, which made our stay even more pleasant. They even allowed us to check out a little later — a very nice gesture we really appreciated. Highlights we especially enjoyed: • 🛏️ Comfortable bed with nice bedlinen • 🚿 Shower with a sea view • 🚻 Presence of a bidet • 🍹 Always accessible dining area with cold still/sparkling water, juices, and sweets • 💻 Perfect both for remote work and for a romantic getaway • 🏖️ The beach is located directly below the apartments, but since the residence is on a hill, you need just a 7-minute drive to reach it We stayed in the second half of September — there were very few tourists, the weather was perfectly comfortable (+27°C, without extreme heat). The town itself is ancient and authentic, with narrow corridors and charming streets that go up and down along the hillside — a beautiful place to explore on foot. Additional recommendations nearby: • 🍽️ The restaurant Bonora, just a 5-minute walk away — a great dining experience we truly enjoyed. • 🍑 Frutteria da Giovanna, a fruit shop about 7 minutes away, offering fresh local products at very good prices. Amazing scenery, kindest staff I’ve ever met. 10 stars is simply not enough. Whole stay was exceptional. Starting from the location, the view And the service. The host, Ciro was the warmest Italian I have ever met. He even remembered that I’m having a birthday few days after we checked in and brought a small cake with a candle while we were eating breakfast. Also, he recommended the best restaurants in Castellabate that offer local experience instead of tourist traps. Ciro, if you are reading this - thank you so so much for making our stay amazing!

“A great place managed by warm and genuine hosts”

Fantastic hosts, Lello and Jelenia, always go the extra mile to make you feel home. The structure is very charming, a mix of old and modern (e.g. Airconditioning, shower). The atmosphere is vey relaxing, the only sound are the singing birds! Definitely a must go back!

“Charming, quiet place in a lovely town; stayed two days but should have stayed more.”

This is a lovely place to stay in Castellabate in May. We parked in a little free parking area below the hotel and outside the old town, with just a couple of flights of stairs to go up (and the very nice family owners helped us with bags). They gave us very good restaurant recommendations and suggested trips, places to swim at check-in - all good. Room was charming, with a little table and chairs on the balcony with sea views and overlooking the hotel courtyard. Very comfy bed and quiet at night, good breakfast on the terrace with excellent coffee and sea views. This is an interesting (we still haven’t seen the film Benvenuti al Sud, which used the hotel ‘lobby’ for some scenes) and extremely pleasant, easy place to stay.

The place was fantastic! We were lucky enough to get an even nicer room than the one we had originally booked, as it was available. I really appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, everyone was warm and welcoming. Lello is an amazing host!

“A fantastic and enjoyable experience”

Ciro, our host, was waiting outside to welcome us when we arrived, parking was right outside and free. The property is on a hillside so there were a few steps but it does mean that you get to enjoy the view over the sea and bay below. Our host showed us to our room, it was wonderful, clean and comfortable. It was simply and tastefully decorated with a very comfortable large bed. Our room had a good sized balcony equipped with table and chairs. The balcony looked straight out over the bay and the sea beyond and the view continued around to see the neighbouring hills and valleys so we could sit outside and have a glass of wine whilst enjoying the setting. And if this wasn't enough, our room had a porthole in the shower - this was incredible (note - not all rooms are the same) - everything here is so nice - the property, the setting, the room, the host and the village! We are quite picky about where we stay and I had forgotten how good this place looked online - we did not intend on deviating this far from our Amalfi drive but having spent just one night here we are so glad we did. We loved this place so much it made us think about coming back to stay for longer and to explore this area of Italy.
