“A booking mistake on part of the host makes me pay, although I couldn't stay in the accommodation”
I’ve booked the accommodation a day before the stay. I did it all with booking.com. The price was quoted at 40 euros for a room for one night. I had it billed through booking.com. The next morning (about 9 am) I received the message from Tulip Lotus that I had billed the wrong amount. They would offer a room for one night only for 50 euros. I explained to them that the price of 40 euros was indicated on booking.com and was also billed over it. I asked to cancel the booking. However, there was no answer at first. But since I needed a room for the night and would be sitting in the car during the whole day, I booked another accommodation in the hope that Tulip Lotus would cancel it. It wasn't until 4 p.m. (!) that I received an answer from Tulip Lotus. Now they said, they would accept the price of 40 euros. I explained that I had already booked another accommodation and asked to cancel the booking again. Supposedly this would no longer be possible (which I don't believe). So I asked if it could at least be solved off the platform of booking.com. I didn’t got any answer, although I asked it several times. Instead, my chat with Tulip Lotus was deleted after a few days (this must also have been actively done on the part of Tulip Lotus. My chats with other hosts from before are still open). I'm disappointed in booking.com too. They sent me an email in which I was able to confirm that I had not stayed in the accommodation. After clicking on a link, I was able to fill out an online form where I could explain the matter. Then a new page opens where it says that the situation is being reviewed. However, I did not receive any confirmation email. After three weeks I still didn't get any feedback. And I can't contact customer service via my profile (new website layout??). Even though 40 Euros isn’t the world, it is just annoying to be treated like that/be ignored.

“Great location and amazing hosts!”
Everything about my stay at Tulip Lotus was excellent. The place is new and clean, everything works great and the location is absolutely perfect, just a minute walk from the central square. But the best part is the staff: Tonino and Heidi are two wonderful people who clearly put all their passion in what they do; they made me feel at home and I wish I could have stayed longer. If you are looking for the best place in town, look no further.
