“A truly memorable stay in the heart of Abruzzo”
I spent a wonderful few days at La Locanda delle Streghe and could not have asked for a better experience. The property is beautifully restored, combining the charm of a historic stone building with modern comfort and impeccable cleanliness. The location is perfect for exploring Castel del Monte, Campo Imperatore and the Gran Sasso National Park. What made my stay especially memorable was the warm hospitality of the owners, who made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was spacious, comfortable and offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The breakfast was outstanding, featuring a generous selection of local products and homemade specialties. I also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant, where traditional Abruzzese dishes are prepared with great care and excellent local ingredients. The atmosphere throughout the property is peaceful, authentic and full of character. If you are looking for a genuine Italian experience in one of the most beautiful villages in Abruzzo, La Locanda delle Streghe is an excellent choice. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region.

“perfection”
A unique place run by bother and sister team with la mamma doing her magic in the kitchen of the in-house restaurant. Truly exceptional dedication including getting up to offer a full breakfast at 6:30 am in support my cycling adventures around Gran Sasso - one thing I know for sure is that I will be back - grazie mille!

“Picturesque village in the mountains, beautiful views, with a wonder hotel and staff”
The entire hotel was perfect in almost every way. Marcos, our host, was kind and generous with his time and ensured we had anything we needed. The breakfast was over the top. Truly this is the best hotel in Italy I've stayed in (now being here for several months).

“A stunning location”
This small family run property is set high in the town and overlooks the mountains of the Gran Sasso. We had a wonderful view from our room, which was decorated nicely in a rustic style and was very quiet and comfortable. The owners were very helpful and polite, and the breakfast was a surprise- more a banquet than breakfast! There was wide variety of continental style breakfast food, including home baked cakes and we were also offered a cooked breakfast. We only stayed one night, but it was very pleasant.
