“A Perfect Honeymoon Stay”

We stayed at Casa di Melo as part of our honeymoon and had a truly special time there. The property is beautiful, with a lovely, thoughtfully designed garden and a pool that was a real highlight. Even when fully booked, the space never felt crowded, as everything is spread out so well across the grounds. We also really loved the option of booking an afternoon picnic in the garden, which made an afternoon by the pool feel even more special. But this is also a great home base if you want to visit nearby Syracusa/Ortigia and the Noto Valley (one day, we went to Noto in the morning and Ortigia in the evening and still had time to relax by the pool in the afternoon). Breakfast was generous and delicious, with a great selection of fresh, regional vegetarian dishes that could be freely combined to your liking. What made us feel especially comfortable was the wonderful and attentive staff. We were always looked after with great care, including fresh cold water throughout the day, and they made us feel truly at home. The room service was also excellent: whenever we returned after breakfast, the room was fresh and spotless. The room itself was beautifully designed, very quiet, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We are very grateful for such a lovely and relaxing stay and would absolutely recommend Casa di Melo for a couples’ getaway.

Super friendly staff, always try to please, organic food served straight from the farm. This is a vegetarian location, we are not vegetarian, but food is very tasty. Location was amazing, rural so you need a car. Pool is awesome.

The stay was fantastic. The garden was beautifully maintained, and the rooms were lovely. They were simple but had everything you need and were exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable.

In Casa du Melo we were welcomed in the warmest way, outstanding personal, comforting room and lobby areas (aka a shared living room, a small library, many cozy corners outside and inside). We asked for tips regarding parking for our travel plans, general advice for destinations, etc. and the staff took the time to explain everything to us very kindly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the activities that can be booked one evening upfront through the reception (we did Yoga with Ilse which was amazing, a farm tour with a picnic with was incredible, and massages outdoors also with Ilse who is an external physio therapist who made our stay even greater and calmer). All in all it was a beautiful stay with very kind people and amazing breakfast.

The food was incredibly delicious, exceptionally presented and very good portion sizes. The outdoor dining area was quiet and peaceful, the table settings beautiful and staff attentive and efficient. The setting of the hotel is beautiful with plenty of space to feel like you have the place to yourselves. The swimming pool was the perfect temperature and very clean. Seating areas outside are spread out throughout the grounds so you can find a lovely secluded spot, the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The room/suite was stunning. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable, we slept exceptionally well during our stay. We had a room with an outdoor terrace and seating area, sitting watching the stars at night was just beautiful.
