“A haven of serenity”

A tranquil oasis in the countryside. Riviere, is a beautifully restored chateau with a fabulous swimming pool creating a modern addition to a grand setting. The horses in a paddock provide the finishing touch to images of another time. There is a small tributary of The Lot, that runs at tbe bottom of their land. The land and buildings have been carefully planned and adapted and there are covered outside facilities that provide a unique and modern setting, where you can cook in the open air and dine in the wonderful outside garden facing the chateau and pool. Madeleine and Sebastian, have introduced many creatively detailed touches, that both inspire and intrigue. Every requirement has been carefully thought out and introduced; from bicycle stands, to garden pergolas with seating arrangements. There's even a hot tub on a terrace that overlooks the small tributary, were you to stay in the beautiful adapted gites. It is a serene retreat away from the over stimulating world of modern life.

Beautiful house on the countryside. Very nicely arranged and decorated and very well maintained. It’s a peaceful setting where you can just chill or have some fun with the property amenities. The kids had lots of fun at the pool :) Beds were very comfy and breakfast was amazing. The owners are great! Kind and very helpful with every request. They were flexible with our late check-in. And they speak fluent English . 100% recommended !

Marika and Stephen were such welcoming hosts and made sure our stay was such a pleasure. Breakfast was lovely with such a variety of 'goodies'. Our room was large and comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches added to enhance our stay. The pool, kitchen and garden facilities let us unwind and relax after active days exploring the many surrounding pretty and interesing towns and villages. All in all, just a wonderful experience.

Beautiful house with beautiful surroundings. Marika is a perfect host - very kind and professional. She speaks English and Spanish (!). Every day we received a very good breakfast. The room was spacious with a big comfort bed.

Exceptional property in beautiful grounds and all at an exceptionally reasonable price. The hosts have thought of mostly everything you could need. All the little things such as a honesty bar, a bag to put your pool towels in, toothpaste, eye masks etc are all available. The room was spacious and well decorated. Pool area is lovely and there is a well equipped outdoor kitchen.

We loved everything, the location, the owners, the swimming pool, the beautifully decorated home and our room was spacious and comfortable with beautiful decor. Breakfast was delicious with many choices and variety served in a beautiful setting. This is a five star hotel experience.

From the very first moment we arrived, Marika made us feel very welcome and totally at home. We had wonderful, spacious apartment in this beautiful country house. We loved the fully equipped summer kitchen where we cooked evening meals and relaxed on hot evenings by the inviting large pool.
