Kate was the most welcoming hostess I have ever met. She invites her guests into her magnificent home and treats them like her friends. She was an excellent hostess and the breakfast was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for Kate to make her guests feel special

We were so well looked after from the moment we walked in the door of this beautiful house. Kate is a brilliant hostess, nothing was too much trouble. The house has a great feeling and is so comfortable, the decor is tasteful and homely. Comfortable bedroom and quality bedding, good shower in the en-suite. Breakfast served in a beautiful dining room, seated normally with other guests ( although we were the only ones there at that time), great choice of cereal/ fruit/yoghurt etc and Irish breakfast, eggs etc all cooked to order, tasty and plentiful. The nicest stay of our four week tour.

Kate, the host was wonderful: friendly and helpful. Great advice on where to have dinner, and she managed to get us in when the restaurant was fully booked.

The house and surroundings has a wonderful characterer about it.

Great room. Great breakfast. Very quiet and peaceful. Kate organised a taxi to get to and from Drunshanbo so I could have a few pints. Overall an excellent stay. Having a living room to relax in is a real plus.

The house was beautiful, with a lot of personality and history. Beautifully furnished and taken care of. The freshly made breakfasts were tasty and fulfilling. However, it’s all about Kate. What an impressive host. Extremely thoughtful and willing to make your stay easier and more comfortable. Simply extraordinary.

This is a wonderful place to stay. A beautiful and comfortable home in every way with a wonderful, thoughtful, kind and generous host who happily goes above and beyond to look after her guests. The peat fire in the sitting room is a special treat! We would highly recommend Hartley House and would love to return one day if possible.

Beautiful guest house with an open fire in the sitting room. Comfortable and beautiful room. Every need provided for as well as extras. Wonderful host - friendly, helpful, warm, thoughtful and good company. Beautifully lit with lanterns and candles when the power was out during a storm - extremely well managed! Thank you Kate.
