“Unfortunately disappointing”

First of all beware that though it would seem that the hotel is located near the highway it is actually a 15 minute drive once you leave the highway exit. My mistake, didn’t realize. Secondly, we were offered, on the day of our arrival à 15 euro per person breakfast, which I agreed to on the booking app. Upon arrival we paid for the breakfast and then thy explained that the only coffee that would be available was the coffee machine in our room and that we could pick up a bag of bakery left out overnight on the counter. Surprise in the morning no bakery, no one on the premises and now four days later im still waiting for an answer /reimbursement.

“A genuine medieval village, in beautiful surroundings”

Very clean and large room with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a huge bath. Coffee maker in the room. And my dog was made very welcome. A truly enjoyable few days in this fascinating medieval village. The restaurant food was delicious. Highly recommended.

“Cute little place in a quaint little mountain village”

Nice little place in Carona near Lugano. The place is a very traditional grotto restaurant with a few rooms. They were very clean and beautifully furnished. You can have breakfast for 25 Franks per person, but we did not try it. The grotto is very good, the food was amazing! The place is located in Carona, a historical, tiny village on a mountain with amazing views. You can easily walk to the heart of the village with restaurants, a tiny shop and amazing views over the lake and mountains. We came by car, but there were also many busses that connected this little place with Lugano.

Very nice Grotto, with freshly renovated rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Before arriving we were informed about the possibilities for breakfast and restaurants. At our arrival, there was some minor technical issue with the heating and we were given immediately another room.

Beautiful location and an extremely generous breakfast makes this a place we will visit again. The rooms are freshly renovated. the staff was exceptionally friendly.
