“Barco Mediceo B&B In Toscana exceeded our expectations”

We booked the B&B for 1 night on our way to Rome. The location amidst the picturesque green mountains of Tuscany is simply breathtaking. Upon arriving at around 8:00 pm, we were captivated by the tranquility and beauty that surrounded us. Lorenzo and his wife warmly welcomed us at the front entrance, setting the tone for our stay. Stepping inside, we were transported to a bygone era with the incredible decor, adorned every corner of the house. The ambiance felt straight out of an Italian film, and the attention to detail was remarkable. Exploring the house felt like a journey through time, with each item having its own story to tell. Our children (8, 11, 13) were particularly enchanted by the view of the backyard and the opportunity to explore the house. Our accommodations were excellent, with a spacious bedroom featuring a comfortable twin bed and an additional bed for our youngest daughter. Our two other daughters had their own bedroom. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-organized, making us feel right at home. In fact, we found ourselves wishing we had booked a longer stay here instead of our previous location. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the host, Lorenzo, who exudes a genuine passion for providing an exceptional experience to his guests. It's clear that he poured his heart and soul into creating this wonderful haven. Lorenzo, a skilled travel guide as well, left us eager to return and embark on a tour with him. Breakfast was a true delight, prepared by Lorenzo himself (he even baked the bread!). The flavors were exquisite, and even our most selective eater, our youngest daughter, proclaimed it to be the best breakfast of our 11-day trip. Our time at the B&B felt like a homecoming, a stay filled with beauty and warmth in one of the most remarkable places we've ever visited. We're already looking forward to returning, and our only regret was having to depart the next day.

It was nice to taste a little sense of life and tranquility in Tuscany. We arrived late due to traffic, but our host solved this problem. If I have the chance again, I will go back for a cozy dinner and breakfast.

Beautiful place, delicious breakfast with homemade jam, cake and bread. We loved as well the wine from the neighborhood. We will come back to stay a bit longer!

“True experience of what Tuscany life is like”

If you are after a true experience in Tuscany surrounded by olive trees and vineyards here is the place. Not to mention its lovely hosts Lorenzo and Cássia who were very nice and hospitable. I would definitely recommend this place if you happen to be by car in the region. The external area is so amazing and it feels really nice to be outside reading a book, drinking a glass of wine or just chilling.

The place and the host. We loved our stay there and could perfectly relax after our city trips. Hope the hosts keep enjoying what they are doing. It makes the stay so much better!

Once in a while you find a hidden gem, this is one of those. Absolutely stunning environment and lovely estate. I arrived one day too early, due my own planning mistake, and it was absolutely no problem, immediately arrangements were made and I got a room. The included breakfast was a work of art, from homemade bread to freshly baked cakes. Even though I am trying not to have sweets, oh boy I am glad I made an exception since everything was wonderfully phenomenal. Wow, thanks for the wonderful two nights 😁

Beautiful location with Lorenzo as a great, hospitable host. His great taste of food and impressive wine collection immersed us immediately in Tuscany. The location is a classic family house, with authentic rooms with fresh beds in a very quiet valley private valley. We regretted only being here for one night, but we will come back!
